If you want inspiration, look at my army diary. My slaves are just the leftover parts from clanrats, put in odd configurations. They're missing arms, have heads growing in weird places, torsos stacked on eachother... they're easier to rank up, are fun to make and paint, and look awesome. ![]() Pillz |

My take on it is based on page 8 of the english skaven book: "At need, Clan Moulder can field an entire army of war-beasts" and page 15: the bit about Hell Pit and the assault on it (last paragraph). Basically, they CAN field an army entirely made of beasties but don't always do so. This says nothing about the slaves or clanrats so my gut instinct is that you can take both. It would really depend on the fluff of your particular army. You might like the idea of the captured slaves being driven before the monsters that had been tested on them to have them meet a horrible death between those fearful monsters and the enemy. Or your particular army might value slaves for their labor, parts and food consumption for monsters more than for their army. I would personally either have a balance of clannies and slaves or go for a pure beasty army lead by throt the unclean. Later! 'Sticks |

Well, the release of the rulebook did somewhat solve this issue, as a Moulder Skaven army now needs Clanrats and/ or Slaves anyway. (Page 103, read the bit after the star-thingy at the listing of Giant Rats).Greetz |

Yeah but Throt lets you take Grats and 2 units of Rogres as core ![]() Ok, heres that list, i could fit in another unit of Rogres but oh well. I probably won't use this list much as i dislike throt: Throt the unclean 3O G rats & skweel (5 PM) 3O G rats (6 PM) 17 G rats (3 PM) 17 G rats (3 PM) 17 G rats (3 PM) 17 G rats (3 PM) 3 rat swarms 4 Rogres (1 master bred) (2 PM) 4 × 4 Rogres (2 PM) The A-bomb Not the most interesting list, but i'll write up a better one with no throt and a bonebreaker mounted lord. |
