Next month I'm taking part in a tournament, with my skeletal army (as my skaven are still unfinished with painting) And this far I've found this list serving me well as well as having several non-typical things, compared to the usual tourney lists. Tomb King -Chariot, Shield, Armour of Ages, Vambraces of the Sun, Flail of Skulls =313p. Put him in the chariot unit with the Icon of the Sacred Eye and go challenge people. Despite his lack of saves he shouldn't be any too easy to kill. Liche Priest -Casket of Souls, Hieratic Jar, Dispel Scroll =330p. I like Casket. Casket priest will keep my catapult shooting. Liche Priest -Cloak of Dunes, Neferrata's Plaques of Mighty Incantations =165p. Flying priest is good to keep up with the chariots, ensuring the chariots will keep moving and summoning them back whenever should they take caasualties. Tomb Prince -Chariot, Icon of Rulership, Golden Eye of Rah-Nutt/Brooch of Great Desert, Flail, Light Armour, Shield =196p. This guy is good for some flanking, Having US5 and being a single model is just too mobile. Starts with the 2nd chariots, will leave them if seems it would prove useful. 25 Skeleton Warriors -Full Command, Light Armours, Shields, Banner of the Undying Legion =275p. An anvil, this will stop most enemies for a turn or two, till I get my chariots to flank 'em. Also useful for jamming a characters with dragons, solo monsters etc. 10 Skeleton Archers -Bows =80p. Killing some fast cavalry, or other not-armoured targets. Also an emergency meatshield for casket. 4 Chariots -Musician, Standard Bearer, Icon of the Sacred Eye =230p. Kings unit. Has proven unstoppable this far. 4 Chariots -Full Command, War Banner =235p. Seconday chariots, going for some bit easier targets with or without the prince. 8 Heavy Horsemen -Musician =135p. For flanking the easier opponents. Also will be protecting casket should skeleton warriors seem to fail it. Tomb Scorpion =85p. Lone characters here I come 2 Tomb Swarms =90p. For clearing the war machine -hill Screaming Skull Catapult -Skulls of Foe =110p. Catapult is good. 2244 points, 63 Models, 9 Incantation Dice, 4 Dispel Dice The tournament special rules allow me to have one thing changing if I want, and mine is the Princes build (brooch/golden eye). So, how do you find the list, opinions, comments and so on. -SewerTenant |

I dont play as TK, but I do play against them, and I dont like chariots! Chariots for TK are one of there many strengths, which you incorporated well! I take it the hierophant is on the casket?!?!?!? |

Looks pretty good, but isn't the Armor of Ages (which is Heavy Armor) with the Light Armor redundant? |

I believe he is referring to the fact that undead lose 1 wound if they lose by 1 due to not having a musician, not a big deal, really. But I'd take musicians anyway, just because I find if non-fluffy to take an incomplete command when you can have a full one, but that may just be me ![]() MUTATE: Seems me and Carcharoth are simultaneously posting again ![]() -Killfang |

Ops, forgot to remove the light armour whe changed his gear few games ago. Fixing it. Musicians indeed prevent me precious warriors crumbling too much and also if an enemy forgot to got himself a musician, that may teach him the importance of the cheapest command model. Hierophant is usually the flying one, as the casket-priest can't run to the hills if enemy approaches. But if I feel that enemy cannot reach the casket then I use casket-priest as hierophant. Thanks for comments. Holy cow, 3 posts while I wrote mine. 1 wounds may not sound liek a big deal but as TK only summons D3 wounds to any "real" unit it is pretty important to prevent any losses possible to prevent. And for skeleton warriors, I will NEVER use a ranked infantry unit (Archers do not count, even as I cannot make the skirmish, theyre not ranked in a way I mean) without full command. It just is stupid. Useless champions may be they're still cool models to convert.. -SewerTenant |
