I have become my terror, and you my precious lamb and martyr

That first day will be crippling, although i think you've got the right idea by getting the largest part of the assembly done asap.Same theory with the painting really, slug it out with the infantry and tanks whilst interspersing the more interesting models as a kind of reward. It's certainly the way I'll be going about it. I'll get some lists and ideas of my own up soon. Any ideas how your going to base them? The basing itself could be a time consuming part in itself if you put alot of effort in(just remember those awesome based models at Games day! ) but i reckon it'd be more than worth the time and effort.Cheers, Mike. P.s.-I hope more people start chipping in with ideas soon.

Your not the only one mate! ![]() As for the basing I will just be going for the very simple scheme of glueing sand to the bases before undercoat spraying them and then just drybrushing them with grey to make it look like a destroyed city scape, as I have with all my 40K bases. Simple and quick!

A big "I don't know yet" for me. Will probably be able to at the start of january if uni hasn't started yet. But here's 2 possible lists: 2 plague prists (+- 250) 1 assassin (+- 150) 20 slaves (40) 15 stormvermins (+- 150) 5 globadiers (+- 50) 2 rat pcks (+- 50) 5 jezzails (100) 3 rat-ogres (+-150) - must also convert HEAVILY 5 PCBs (90) - Abomination - ??? would need to scratch-build : 3 characters, 35 troopers, 30 little buggers, 3 rat-ogres and a possible abomination That's 1 day for characters and jezzails, 1 for PCBs rats and globos, 3 for troopers, 2 for the big monsters. bruiser (199) hunter (190) 4 bulls, full equip (202) 4 bulls (140) 4 ironguts (192) gorger (75) : 2 characters, 12 normal ogres, 1 rare ogre That's 1 day for characters, 2 days per unit, and do the gorger sometime in there. |

So I've got a little bit of a dilemma here. I've narrowed my 1k point army down to either Space Wolves or Orks. I've got two Assault on Black Reach boxes, of which the space marines have been hijacked by my two boys. So in order for me to do the Space Wolves (other than a rhino and maybe one or two marines) there would be a slew of brand new purchases, something that could be quite expensive, depending on what I wanted in my army. They do look awesome and have temporarily suspended my "Never paint power armor again" oath I swore a few years back. However, in those two AoBR boxes are a ton of Orks. I figured I could spend roughly US$150 on 3 trukks and 1 battlewagon and have a complete 1k point Ork army. I'm leaning heavily toward the ork army, they're the reason I have two AoBR boxes in the first place. However, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around 40 boyz, 10 nobz, a boss, 3 deff koptas, 3 trukks, and a battlewagon in a week. Now I know I can't really progress in the hobby without challenging myself so I'm going to (tentatively ) throw my hat in with Orks and work my @$$ off for a week in January and see how far I can get.Unless someone convinces me that Space Wolves are better. MZ |

Let's just say, after actually having a read through the skaven book, it'll most likely be ogres for me if I try. I have an amazing total of 1 painted ogres, and I'd like to put a painted army on the table. |
