For a while I have been pondering on the so very common thought that Buggies are inevitable in an Ork army. But in my opinion Deffkoptas are just so much better. What do you think?

Buggy - Lightly armoured (10,10,10) fast, open topped.

Deffkopta - Normal Ork stats except for 2 W and jetbike rule.

Both are almost at the same points (just under 50, the buggies slightly cheaper) and get the same basic weapon choices. I.e. the Deffkoptas can assault and do some damage, but the buggies are solely relying on their 5 to hit shooting (but with a re-roll).

This question seems to be game-related and not painting-/hobby-related.

All hail the Age of Skaven
the copta's tend to be a harrasment unit while the buddies are more often used as a obscurer for your trukks to give them a 4+ save so they have some form of durability, thats the only real difference ebtween them
Shhhh I'm not here

The only reason I prefer the koptas is that they get twin-linked rokkit launchas, and they come very cheaply in the assault on black reach box.
