Despite the fact that I'm, at this point, still considering selling off all my 40k due to barely playing it anymore, the release of the Space Puppies does fill my heart with joy. Especially since they're bringing back a few of the (old) characters, according to current rumours/ previews, that haven't been seen since the second edition.

Anyone else awaiting the moment they hit the shelves? :D

The New Lunar Republic!
Well, I won't be getting them, and look forward to testing my strategies against them, rather than buying them. But I await them eagerly all the same! :D

While I despise yet another marine release, the Space Wolves are by far my favorite chapter. They raise two fingers and blow raspberries (British style) to all the other loyalist marines and dare the Inquisition to just try and scrutinzie them. Their loyalty to the emperor actually comes second to their loyalty to Russ. (which by default is loyalty to the emperor, but that's neither here nor there. ;) )

I would risk angering all those who favor other chapters and say that there are no other warriors this side of the Heresy that fight more fiercely for "good." All the other chapters are either too prideful (Ultras, Fists) too bothered by past events (Dark Angels) or too blighted by stunted/incomplete geneseed (Blood Angels). If I were to start an Imperial army in 40K it would be the Space Wolves.

I've liked the Space Wolves ever since the Bill King "Space Wolf" novels came out. I know there's a non-canon disclaimer with all the Black Library stuff, but the Ragnar in the book would totally kick the codex Ragnar's ass into next week. :P

Yes, I'm a fan... ;)

Mutate - And the Wolf Riders or whatever they are look dumb. The guy riding looks OK, but the cat/wolf hybrid thing looks terrible. Those terminators will be seeing a lot of Space Hulk action though. ^_^

All hail the Age of Skaven
I'm a big fan of the white scars myself, but then I'm a big fan of their ghengis kahn/mongol, background they are loyalist assholes after all :P and who doesn't like the idea of a superhuman hells angels army?
Shhhh I'm not here

I'm not a big fan of marines (that are not of the chaos space variety) :P .

I'd rather have had gw show some stones and release DE or Necrons. You know: a real army ;) .

All cut up...
Yeah I agree, space marines get WAY too much attention. Yeah they are cool 9ft superhuman giants, but when you can't move for the sight of them...

But then again, all this attention has brought up the new plastics for them which are amazing (just look at that wolf head!).

@Bodacious:
Necrons aren't a real army... they're a C3PO convention. :P ;) (j/k)

You make a fair point, though. I fully agree that directly after the Chaos Dwarves (who haven't even had a proper update since a decade), the Dark Eldar really are the ones that need some proper care. Despite the fact that they're not written out of the background (yet... unlike the Sq...), their codex comes from 1999 and the 3rd edition of Warhammer 40k, despite the fact that they're still played/ allowed at tournaments. So, all in all, I concur that Dark Eldar really is an army that needs an update.

Still, the 'official' Space Wolves codex comes from that period as well (having since then been 'processed' through three Space Marines codexi to which is referred and a campaign supplement), so you can't blame a Space Pup fanboy ( :P ) to be glad a new codex is coming... Just like I feel the same way about the Skaven armybook. ;)
