Is it game legal to mount a warmachine and it's crew, for example an RBT and the two crew members, onto one large base? Or do the crew have to be removable? In which case, any reccomended bases for either option, I was thinking maybe Dreadnought sized bases, and where to buy them would be very useful. |

I made a large base for my Goblin Hewer that has cut outs for the crew so they can be removed. I would think it would be OK in friendly games but it's better to have the crew removable. |

Having a large base for the machine and the crew is fine, though the crew should be removable, as Bilbo said, having cut-outs would be a good idea. As for bases, the only time I did this I used a dreadnought base I had procured on Ebay, and added texture. Hope this helps, -Killfang |

You're welcome ![]() And I don't know about buying a base with ready-made cutouts, I made them myself. But if you want to buy them, Ebay would be a good place to look ![]() -Killfang |

last time i saw something like this the person had put two small pins in the feet of the crew and had holes drilled in the base |

Daniel cannot possibly exist in a dimensional state. Recent studies show that people who have attempted to comprehend Daniel have either disappeared, died spontaneously, or driven themselves into a pertinent state of insanity and/or catatonia. <img src="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/adoptables/23041.gif" alt="Broken Adoptable Image" /><br><a href="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/levelup/23041-dark-whisper.htm" title="Level up this Daemon!">Level up Adoptable!</a> | |

would an eagle claw fit on a terminator size base? i've got LOADS of them, i'd be happy to send you a few free of charge ![]() in game terms it just works out better if the crew are separate models to the war machine, you'd be surprised how many instances have the blighters leaving their post (at least when i play against them with my Slaaneshi beasts :P) |

No, an eagle claw has a tripod base, so all three legs would be outside of the terminator base ![]() And yeah, my crewmen do get killed, though last game they killed a charging bretonnian paladin (4,5 to hit, 5,6 to wound, and 1,1, armor, he had fled before so no ward :P) -Killfang |

You could always do the simple one and get a movement tray, fill it with modelling card/foam (or anything similar really) and then just cut out around the bases of the models when you are happy with the positioning. This way they are removable but can look seemless with the warmachine and its base once painted, making a very nice small diorama. |
