Officially Awesome
|
It looks neat, and the new models they've made for it look cool but... at supposedly $165 AUS it seems a little expensive for a boardgame, or is that just me? |

I actually think this looks pretty amazing. The models(if they are in citadel scale) look incredible, especially the Genestealers. I'd love to pick one of these up but I'm skint and in a fair bit of debt as it is. Mike. |

Yeah, that is one expensive board game. Descent comes close at around $90US retail. Unless other stores(online or local) sells it for less(20-30% off retail) I really doubt I will pick this one up as well. |

Fortunately, my birthday is early September. I was going to ask for Guitar Hero 5, but it looks like I'll have to change my mind. $99 isn't all that much for what you get, I don't think, not compared to the Empire Greatswords, anyway. And I have enough left over from the 4th ed. WH40K box that I can expand both forces quite a bit, if that is indeed possible. Wicked cool! MZ Mutate - Score! I asked my wife if I could order my birthday present. Her response? "Please do! That makes it so much easier for me!" Count one more pre-order for GW. Dammit, I hate giving them my money, but they're doing some really cool stuf lately. |

Daniel cannot possibly exist in a dimensional state. Recent studies show that people who have attempted to comprehend Daniel have either disappeared, died spontaneously, or driven themselves into a pertinent state of insanity and/or catatonia. <img src="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/adoptables/23041.gif" alt="Broken Adoptable Image" /><br><a href="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/levelup/23041-dark-whisper.htm" title="Level up this Daemon!">Level up Adoptable!</a> | |

I owned the first one so many years ago, but sell it. I was too young. But anyway, I would buy first the Starcraft expansion (Protoss fan here). |

60 quid? *cue random cursing*... While I'm not sure I'd play it that often, I am getting more and more annoyed by some of the marketing techniques of Games Workshop. The third Gaunt's Ghosts omnibus was 'limited edition' as well (had to order it from the Black Library site), and now they're doing one of the OOP game in a re-release for THAT amount of money (cause I know them selling them for more in the Netherlands then the pound is worth) and in a limited version as well... Seriously, give it a few years and Vinz will only be playing Blood Bowl, cause (i) I've got all the teams I want, and (ii) the rules are updated by the BBRC, which means there's very little for the Games Workshop management to influence on. Behold the Spanking Paddle of Justice
|
I got to play this tonight at our gaming clubs evening. Oh my god its an awesome game. The quality of the models is really good, and whilst I was sceptical about the card they are actually really thick and durable. We have already planned a monster 4 player game when its actually released. |

I think its going to be hard to complain about the price. Really, you get like 12 Terminators and a whole lot of Tyranids, all of which look absolutely awesome and could easily be used for 40k. Add up the cost of buying those figures in 40k sets and the Space Hulk game seems to be awesome value! Overall, it is a tad expensive though, but for the quality of the miniatures, Im not going to complain. I may even buy a copy at some point... - Sammy |
