Twisted, evil, treacherous, and diabolical rats wielding arcane technologies that are dangerous to foe and friend, that care not for their kin and are constantly plotting against each other. What more need I say about what makes Skaven cool?

My Skaven Blog Updated November 29, 2009. 7:57 PM (-6 GMT)

Have spare little rats from the old clanrats, current plague monks, corpse cart, or individual rats from the doom wheel? PM me. I want them. 30 more needed.

The New Lunar Republic!
If this is true, then it's awesome, but I'm still skeptical. They've been long overdue, and I see no release date soon.

Near the beginning of the last edition there was a small book called ravening hordes. It was a book of updates for all the armies until the books were released. This was the last time chaos dwarves were last updated. Not to be pessimistic since I've always wanted a chaos dwarf army but they're super expensive but update does not mean new models or even rerelease of the old ones. If you got chaos dwarves already be very excited but I'm sure it's just going to be updates to the old rules. Hopefully this will spark the excitement of many and new models will come but I seriously doubt I will own my own chaos dwarf army for a long time if ever.

That and practically all of their model ranges were pewter. I'm optimistic the slow evil little dude will resurface in 7th and get an overhaul and new range of models . :)

How could you miss this?

Late 2009
No big surprizes here. Wolves are officially confirmed by GW as of now, and the Skaven train has appaently left the station. Look for both of these before the holidays.

If it does pan out, then it will be great. There is a loyal following just waiting for an update to their 5th edition book or was it 4th?

Well, even with the Ravening Hordes rules, you can still play them. They're not using other statistics, or special rules that aren't around these days, so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. (Sure, their build is somewhat outdated, but that's simply a matter of adjusting tactics).

i'm pretty sure that they've been saying chaos dwarves will be updated for a LONG time now. the hell cannon came out and they were like "yeah, chaos dwarves arn't that far away"

i don't know when the hell cannon came out, but it was a while back. tbh, i don't care either way. the only reason chaos dwarves appealed to me as it's an exscuse to convert the whole army, new minis means i won't have to.

well i was hoping that this new update would mean the coming of a new army book for them so the minis would come out , cause even with the curent rh rules that are ok to use i dont have the models to play them and i really dont want to convert them either to much work and my green stuff talent is not great <_<

It wouldn't surprise me if the update isn't even a book and just something in a white dwarf like blood angels were.

How did this rumor get blown so out of proportion? During the Q&A someone asked if Chaos Dwarves would ever get updated, and Jervis gave the standard Studio answer they do for EVERYTHING: "At some point we will update them, but right now we're not sure when. Most likely not for a few years." Just prior to this he stated that everyone wants to know when <insert army here> will get done and that rest assured they will over the course of the game's life, get done. That is anywhere from tomorrow until decades from now. Chaos Dwarves are not slated to be revised anytime soon and it will most likely be quite a long time until they are. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but people should actually listen during seminars.
