I just realised that I have no idea where my clan should be, based off my opponenets. Could someone help me?

(My opponents being namely Khorne Chaos Mortals, Dwarves, Lichemasters undead army (all by the same person, and he plans on 40k too) and Tomb kings, Skaven or WE (this guy is still deciding.)

I don't see why the location of your clan's lair, has anything to do with the location where you battle your enemies.

Besides, all your opponents would be located in complete various places. Khorne comes from the northern wastes (beyond Hell Pit), Dwarves are living in the World Edge Mountains (seperating the Empire from the Dark Lands), the Undead come from Sylvania (somewhere in the middle of the Empire), Tomb Kings come from Araby (to the far south of the Empire), Skaven from Skavenblight and Wood Elves from Athel Loren (on the border of the Empire and Bretonnia).

This means that you're nowhere near all of them...

Ok, then any ideas for a confused Clanrat?

*shrugs*... Depends on what you want. I mean, it's your story after all. ;)

Nah, technically spoken, it's not likely to write a storypiece where you have all those armies come together in their natural habitat, as those are literally scattered throughout the Old World. However, on the other hand, you could have a wandering clan, perhaps fight in one of those large Chaos invasions, etc.

Hmm, well the Chaos guys could be a wandering warband from the Storm of Chaos aftermath. Tomb Kings could easily have been from the nemesis crown invasion. Dwarves are going to be a custom made army so the only real influencing factor are Kremmlers Undead army (yeah, that one) and the WE, and they are both in the same place anyway.

So my clan has to be near Athrel Loren... and they wear Red and Gold. (Haven't painted them yet, but Im inspired by the Iron Man movie).

This is going to be great...

Vinz is right about it being impossible to find a location that allows you to realistically battle all of those opponents in their home turf, but with a little imagination, your clan could just be based somewhere central like the empire, athel loren or the world's-edge mountains. Since GW-campaigns (and lots of fan campaigns as well) are usually created with the empire in mind, having your clan in one of those locations would make it really easy for you to find excuses to fight just about anyone who gets near. When fights require you to travel to other lands (araby, brettonia lustria, etc.) coming up with a reason for your clan to travel requires some more creativity, but is by no means impossible. Maybe a bigger clan blackmailed your warlord into going away, maybe your clan has drained the area's resources (warpstone, food and lumber) already and they need to find a new warren to survive. And remember: There's always the 'we're looking for warpstone' motivation :P .
