I know i already posted this, but it was a footnote in a different topic: the 25th ann. special has 1 Grey Seer 40 Clanrats (including full command) 40 Plague Monks (including full command) 10 Poison Wind Globardiers 10 Plague Censer Bearers 1 Ratling Gun 2 Rat Ogres 3 Skaven Pack Masters 6 Giant Rats I don't have any skaven, i'm just starting out, this looks like a good deal to me, but i'd like a lot of opinions on it I'm prob going to have a ton of different lists I like the Eshin army list (from storm of chaos i believe) And i would go a Pestliense-themed army Thx for all the help |

I'm afraid that it is actually not a very good deal at all! Thanking ratmanof for noticing in this topic that the the deal is £8 more expensive than if you were to buy the Skaven Batallion box and all of the pieces individually.
So, what do you learn? That really the Batallion box is the one that is the great deal! I'd wholeheartedly recommend getting the Batallion Box as opposed to the 25th anniversary one for several reasons: i) It's cheaper ii) It won't be so overwhelming iii) If you should discover that you actually hate painting/playing Skaven you won't have wasted as much money iv) Since you say you are looking at doing either an Eshin or Pestilence theme, you aren't going to spend money on troops that you wouldn't include normally (such as Globadiers and so many Giant Rats) Really, I've not much more to say on the subject - I wouldn't recommend the 25th Anniversary deal to anyone, and especially not someone who wants to play Eshin, given it's complete lack of Eshinites! Daniel cannot possibly exist in a dimensional state. Recent studies show that people who have attempted to comprehend Daniel have either disappeared, died spontaneously, or driven themselves into a pertinent state of insanity and/or catatonia.
Level up Adoptable! | |

More grey every day.

No, I'm pretty sure it was "8 rat ogres and giant rats and three packmasters." Sounds like the contents of the Moulder box clumsily stated. |

One thing to clear up with the 25th Anniversary box... it's not an army box, it's a "Legendary Formation" (or something like that) meant to bolster an existing force for the WFB "Legendary/Apocalypse" game. It's not even legal out of the box, as there aren't enough points in it to run a Seer. I'm combining mine with my Skaven Army Box from the last Skaven release... (And I got a pretty good deal on my 25th Anniversary box... found a place selling it for -20% before shipping.) My 2 yen, Akiosama |
