So empire has a new book now and even do the empire player will never bring his steam tank to game agains my skaven. (He fears skaven firepower) ^_^

Any way an intressting question hit me now that the steam tank dont have woundes instedd of the old streuctuer points what happens now when you trow a brass orb at it?

A.It takes 3d6 woundes.

B.Test for I of die.(Auto fail as it has I0)

C. Nothing happens.

I hope to hear from some of the wise rats here who know better.

The steam tank in it's current rules format has no such thing as structure points. This is a great misfortune, as it makes it almost impossible to tell the affect of the Brass Orb on it.

All of the school of thoughts are correct, which is a great problem:

A ) As Structure points have become wounds, it's clear that the damage should be in wounds instead of structure points. Since the Skaven book says that it inflicts 3D6 structure points, which are now wounds, it makes sense that it would do 3D6 wounds to it.

B ) As it no longer has any structure points, surely it should just be affected as any other model or chariot. In this case, as per the warhammer rulebook, it would take an initiave test, (auto-fail) and be destroyed in one hit.

C ) As the rules for the Brass Orb are in the 6th edition, and make reference to something that no-longer exists in the 7th edition, it would have no effect since it is clearly talking about a different set of rules and they can not be assumed to be easily adapted to the new model.

In my opinion argument B makes the most sense, but until Games Workshop release an errata on the subject we'll have no clear answer.

Then today is your lucky day Thrask, they've just updated the "Shrine of Knowledge", where they keep all of the erratas!

Q: How do the effects of the Screaming Bell and Brass Orb work on the Steam Tank, now that it has Wounds instead of Structure Points?

A: Simply translate "Structure Points" into "Wounds".

Finally we get an answer! Not the best of answers, but still a really good one! B)
