I'm playing a 60 player tournament soon, as mentioned in another thread, and here is my planned armylist.

I expect VC (,myself,) and HE to dominate the top tables. Perhaps the odd Wood Elf player but not much more. There are 8 players that have stated that they're playing VC, 7 HE and four WE (the WE guys are top-15 players), but these things are just preliminary (I actually expect more VC). I expect most of the HE players to bring a Star Dragon along, and a few eagles just for good measure.

These things have been taken into consideration when designing the list, and you also probably should know the following about the tournament rules;

- Max 2 Dispel Scrolls
- Max 10 powerdice and bound spells (count as a die) per magic phase. One-use-only bound spells does not count.
- ... some additional restrictions (such as only one large-target per army), but they're not really applicable for skaven.

So, here goes the actual list;

Nice list, but as always I have some comments ;-)

Give one of you engineers the eye of the horned rat. That will allow you to cast warp lightning three times with three dice.
You have and odd number of clan rats, why? Maybe drop some of them to get the eye.
Make your gutter runners 5 big. If only one is killed and they are forced to run they might cause panic in other units.
Weird number of plague monks as well. Maybe drop some to get some more jezzails.

Your list looks a lot like my current one, maybe you can take a look at it. It is a 2k list but you can use the extra points to buy the WLC and the PCB.

1 Warlord; Heavy Armour, Shield 99

1 Warlock Engineer; Warp Blades, Upgraded warp-energy 110
condenser, Supercharged warp-power accumulator, Storm Deamon
1 Warlock Engineer; Warp Blades, Upgraded warp-energy 110

the problem i found with the eye of the horned rat was you cant always count on the extra +1 power dice. i might be tempted to try and squeeze in the storm banner - if your right about eagles and dragons then this could upset them slightly.. i know dragons have a large enough ground movement anyway but at least they cant fly over your lines, also the -2 to shooting normally upsets elf players especially if they are shooting at skirmishers.
Daniel cannot possibly exist in a dimensional state.

Recent studies show that people who have attempted to comprehend Daniel have either disappeared, died spontaneously, or driven themselves into a pertinent state of insanity and/or catatonia.

Yes, the eye would be a nice addition. Dropping a gutter and a plaguemonk would give me the points without any major modification.

The odd number of clanrats / monks is just ablative wounds and outnumbering. After 20, it doesnt really matter if you're on even 5 models not. Also, people likes having units 20 or 25 big, so having a few additional models sometimes gives me outnumbering (which is worth 2 CR in practice).

The thing with gutters is I would like them to be able to claim quarters (usually requires 5 US) and provide cross firening, and they tend to loose a model or two against even lowly crewmembers and similar. But I will probably still drop one to get the eye.

Your list looks great! There are a few things I'd change (more scrolls, more PWG's etc.) but I really like the general feeling of the list.

Actually I'm a bit tempted to try fitting a third slaveblock in there, but I don't know where I would find the points. I like my Giant rats, because most people can't remember they're movement 6, but probably another unit of slaves (44 pts) and another unit of 25 clanrats (140 pts) would be preferable. That would require me to paint a lot though, so it's not an alternative for this particular list (but the third slave unit might be).

This would be a nice idea, but since I'm relying on my jezzails to actually damage dragons and such, the storm banner could prove more of a liability than an asset.

Nice list.

A few suggestions:

Dropping one of your warlocks for a BSB with the stormbanner would probably be a good idea, especially against WE armies.

With your 14 jezzails, ratling guns, warlocks and censers you have plenty of anti armor. I would strongly recommend dropping the globadiers and using the points to expand your clanrat units and to create another unit of slaves.

Yeah the stormbanner could prove useful against some enemies, but against others thats just a lot of points making my shooting worse :) With so much shooting, and the numbers to soak up enemy shooting, I already have the edge in the shooting phase.

The globadiers aren't there to do damage :) They're just another deployment option, a general nuisance to the enemy (march blocking, parking them 1" in front of enemy units, and then fleeing when they charge, forcing them to move their maximum distance and running into a flank charge trap). For 20 pts, thats the most versatile unit you can find. A 5 man Night Runner unit has the same uses, but since they are 5 man strong they can cause panic in other units, which the globadiers cant.

With so many cheap units, my first 6 deployments will total under 200 pts. Add the WLC (which usually only have one place to go, behind a forest), the giant rats (I run one on each flank) and perhaps the small unit of Jezzails, and the enemy will be deploying his characters before I've committed anything costing more then a 100 pts. Proceed to refuse flank him every single time, and win. Simple as that!
