Hi you all, this is my first post and I have to congratulate all of you for this wonderful forum.

I'm starting my new army for a tourney. We can use only 1 hero, just 1 special and at least 2 basic units.

I like the Skryre fluff, so i considered a warlock can be send in a mission (i have to work about it) and he took his guard with him.

In this moment, i have decided to go into:

- Warlock engineer, witch blade, warp energy condenser......... 70 p.

- 24 clan rats, standard, musician, rattling gun....................... 195 p.

- 40 slaves........................................................................... 80 p.

- 4 jezzails............................................................................ 80 p.

That is just 425 p. What else can i add? More slaves? Giant rats? Nightrunners?

I will keep with the jezzails, because they can be scary to my enemy, get rid of any cannon or similar, and maybe we can find chaos knights, ogres, daemons, or even ethereal. So keeping just 4.

My warlock can use 3 dices to throw the Warp Lightning, so no supercharged warp power accumulator needed.

I think it's not a really too shooty list, i have to finish it (that's why i need your help) but i want a nice list to play against, still being powerful.

I also have a question. In the spanish skaven armybook, you can throw Warp Lightning spell with 5+, obtaining 1d6 St. 6 hits; or 9+, obtaining 2d6 St. 5 hits. Is it correct or is it a translating mistake?

Thanks so much for your help.

More core troops would be helpful. I would advise against taking the unit of jezzails. Such a small unit is unlikely to earn its points back. It is also unlikely that they will have much in the way of heavily armored troops to shoot at.

Taking two units of 25 clanrats (140 points each) and two units of 20 slaves (40 points each) would be a good start. You could then add in your warlock and the ratling gun if you want a strong Skyre theme.

In my opinion, giant rats are a nice option. They are fast flankers (always useful), but with enough unit strength to be devestating in an assault for small(er) units... Other then that, your list looks quite nice, to be honest. Perhaps add another (one or two) jezzails?

Nope, this is correct. Their are two levels of warp-lightning, which are the versions you've mentioned. So, you can choose to cast the low (5+) level and dish out d6 s5 hits, or the high (9+) level and dish out 2d6 s5 hits.

Vince just needs to learn how to read ;-)

You indeed have a printing error in your book.
The lower version doesn't do 1D6 S6 hits but 1D6 S5 hits.
The higher version does 2D6 S5 hits.

On your list. Get 1 more jezzail and add some nightrunners. The rest looks good for a 500 point list. Maybe a bit heavy on the slave department, but they are there to die anyway, so who cares ;-)

Thanks so much, oh powerful lords. May the Horned One bless your campaings.

At last, the list finishes as follows:

Same Warlock engineer

Same clan rats

Same slaves

5 jezzails (i think we have a bretonnian player  )

5 Night Runners

Packmaster and 6 giant rats

Pity about the spell :P . But thanks to solve my request.

I'll tell you how it's working.

As its a very small force and not many points left so what ever you field is likely to be small and relatively weak so make it ranged.
75pts will buy:
5 nightrunner with sling (to hide in cover, capture objectives or field quarters and provide some more shooting) sorry very biased re :pmaster: w/ slings I just love them. and
3 Globadiers to help take out those heavily armoured figures when they pile into your slaves (remember it doesn't matter too much if you gas your own slaves). Also they are another Skryre unit you don't have and may allow you a cheap extra unit to out set up your opponent, doubt he will have >6 units to place at the start?
Currently joint first in PRS points, may as well blow my trumpet whilst I've got one.
