Deathmaster counts as both a Lord and a Hero. You will have to remove one of the lesser characters. I reccomend one of the chieftans.

I used the Deathmaster recently in a unit of 31 clanrats and he was challenged by a dorf Lord. Deathmaster sliced and diced him into little peices and the large unit of dorfs ran due to overkill and rest of CR.

Cool, I'm I'm not sure what a dorf is, but I hope its a dwarf cause I hate hate them. They are the cheese.

Yeah I suppose the naked chieftain will have to go, but that means that an opponent would notice that I don't have a lord on the table and be very wary of the nightrunners. I don't want the unit panicking while snikch is in it. Actually I think its a bit risky, I'll put him in the bsb unit.

Can he charge out of the unit in the turn he is revealed or do I have to leave during the movement phase and charge next turn?

I've changed the list now in the original post.

Thanks

"If the unit he is with does not declare a charge, a character may declare a seperate charge of his own and therefore leaves the unit when he charges out of it." thats p. 73 in Characters section of my little rule book.

So, you just have to remember to reveal your DMS at the beginning of the turn before charges are declared and then he can charge in by his little old self :D i did that with an assassin once. he wiped the floor with a tomb king priest muwhahaha

i love the idea of assassins but your list still has to many characters in for a 2000pt game. you have in total 5 when you only are allowed to filed 4. DMS is a lord and a hero slot (2 slots) the BSB is another 1 and the engineers are another 2 (1 each) for a total of 5 <_<

you mentioned that your opponent will see there is no lord straight away in your list and this is the problem with assassins and skaven armies. skaven armies are not as small as yours if there are only 2 heros sitting in units at the start of the game its pretty much a given that there is an assassin lurking around somewhere and DMS taking a lord and a hero slot makes this more obvious :(

also of note is the placement of your characters. with all your heros in the same unit this unit is going to be a missile magnet and will get thinned considerably as it moves across the board.

It is difficult to field the DM in 2K with the limited hero choices available. As others have stated, the DM takes up a hero slot so you need to drop one more hero. Since the master of death cannot be your general, a chieftain would be best for the superior leadership. The best hero combination would probably be DM, warlock with storm daemon, and a chieftain. Make sure you kill your opponents' mages quickly though, as you will have very little magic defense. It might be worthwhile to deploy him as a scout with a few units of nightrunners for support. He would be able to take out mages, small support units, and warmachines.

LOL, yes dorf = dwarf.

Hate is too strong a word for me, I cannot say that I hate any army. They all have something appealing if you look hard enough, but Skaven RULE!
