Loxatl rules: A grey-skinned amphibious race that worships chaos, the Loxatl work as mercenaries for the forces of the great enemy, lending their skills and formidable abilities to war bands and the armies of chaos. They are famous for their ability to climb and run on virtually any surface, their flechette guns, and their smell (like a mix of sour milk and mint) Here is my first try at the stats and rules and such WS-60/BS-70/S-80/T-80/I-70/Wp-60/Sg-50/Nv-60/Ld-50 Abilities: Ambidextrous Fearsome Scale terrain (conferred by dew claws) Hipshooting Quadruped Beweaponed limbs (front legs) Razor sharp claws (dew claws) Equipment: Torso mounted flechette cannon: The signature weapon of the Loxatl that launches a hail of barbed shards -----------------type-range-mode-------acc-dam.-Shots-Rld-Wt Flechette gun/basic/J/single, semi (2)/-----/D10/-15/---3---/40 Each successful shot hits D3 locations Each wound automatically started bleeding Armature: A body harness utilized exclusively by the Loxatl, it consisted of a series of traps with a pair of mechanical arms; this allows them to hold and load their signature weapons. The armature counts as a pair of crude bionic arms (S: 40) that cannot be used to fight, but allow the Loxatl to manipulate locks, open doors etc. and will be shut down by a haywire or EMP. Special rules: Las-proof: the Loxatl are virtually immune to normal las weapons, against any las weapons they will count as having 2pts of reflective armour Dull senses: Being an amphibious race, the Loxatl’s sense of smell, sight and hearing are quite dull; subtract 30% from any detection test based on those senses Sensitive: the Loxatl rely on a strong sense of smell and vibration, in game terms this means they will count as having a motion tracker which has a +30% chance of success (so no penalty for passive and +30% for active tests) Amphibious: the natural environment of these xenos, the Loxatl can move at full speed through the water, cannot drown, and ignore the dull senses rule Some pointers for using Loxatl, they will work commonly with the blood pact and will always work in teams of three (a brood pack), though they may break off for specific missions. But be sure to warn your players that if they kill a Loxatl, there will likely be two more gunning for you… |

I know there has been some references in the Sabbat Crusades background book in regard to the Loxatl, so I'd have to look into that one before giving a full comment on the rules that are to represent them. Weren't they in Honour Guard caught due to some sort of milk-y smell? Still, it looks quite nice so far. Greetz |
