Hay all! I was just wondering if an engineer with a warp blade and a hand weapon would get +1 to attack? It might since he does technicaly have 2 weapons....but I am not 100% sure. Vermin Lord Skreek |

As the Warp Blades are not mentioned to be weapons, but only wargear used to raise the strength of the Bearer, you do not get an additional attack. You can always get an additional attack for Engineers, while retaining the Strength bonus of the Warp Blades, by buying pistols for them though, as they do count as hand weapons. That sounds about right! |

Thank you, I was just curious. But I would not waste around 10 points for it, I was hopeing it counted as an extra weapon. Vermin Lord Skreek |

What would have made me happy would be warp blades giving an extra attack and not counting as a weapon. Buying a pistol would then give me 3 s4 attacks with my engineer! Sadly this is not to be... -.- |

Buying Warpblades not a waste! That's what gives you warplightning (engineers can't cast the spell otherwise). The Strength bonus is just an extra. Secondly, having a 2nd weapon in your equipment list does not give you an extra attack. e.g. buying a weeping blade for your warlord does not give him an additional attack on top of his handweapon, since all troops usually come with a handweapon by default. To gain a 2nd attack by having a 2nd weapon, you would buy a pistol or the specific 2nd handweapon option that allows this. I think this is explained by saying that not all weapons can be wielded effectively in tandem, so you'd need a weapon that is specially crafted for this. Think of it as a "left-hand" sword. |

*Skaven assassin prepares to leap out of hiding from a clanrat unit* "What the! Some idiot back in Eshin HQ gave me two left-claws!" *Assassin fails to kill enemy character because he has no right-claw, therefore only one attack from the left* Assassin dies -.- |
