Dax
Okay, here is the character I had created for my warband (a radical Ordo Xenos group) I've got the basics of the background down, but am unsure as of how to write out as a fluff piece or intro. Here is my basic idea

Dax is a pariah, and trained as a pathfinder as a means of escape from the rest of society. Somewhere along the long (I'm thinking that he was tracking several would-be cultists) and got captured by the cult instead. Now here is where it gets interesting, instead of killing him, the cult kept him alive. You see, since he was a pariah, he was naturally slightly repulsive, so he fit the bill of sacrifice quite nicely. The next few months would be spent in torturous surgeries as they worked endlessly, and skillfully, to make him into the monster he is today. His skull alone was sawed and extended thirty one times to fit the Fenris wolf jaws. His skin was replaced, inch by agonizing inch, with fur from the same beast, his limbs and bone structure were warped and twisted. It was days before the end that he was rescued by a timely Inquisitorial raid on the cult. The storm troopers would have killed him but for the intervention of Gideon. Since then he has worked with him for almost thirty years, becoming a constant companion. Despite his appearance he became a receptacle for Sabriel’s more maternal tendencies

Equipment:
Autopistol with 2 reloads
Staff
Gland with De-tox
Fur on all locations (see below)
Implanted comm.-link (as normal rules, but can not be removed)

Abilities:
Acrobatic
Dodge
Catfall
Fearsome
Regenerate
Night sight
Scale terrain
Pariah
Crippled

Alien abilities:
Enhanced senses
Horns
Fangs
Beweaponed extremities
razor sharp claws

Fur:
Dax’s body is covered in a thick layer of black fur; this has the effect of providing him with 2 points of armor on all locations. This “armor” cannot be removed and will not count for the purposes of encumbrance (he’s used to it).

Enhanced senses:
Dax was created for one purpose, to die. But not helpless and chained, but hunting his enemies in the thick jungle arena. He was equipped with a full range of sensory enhancements in order to hunt down the other victims (yes there were others!)

Horns:
As part of the surgical deformation, the surgeons grafted large horns (taken from the head of a willing chaos cultist) serve well for bashing his opponents in the face, as well as adding to his grotesque appearance.

Fangs:
During the alteration of his face, Dax had his teeth removed. In their place are rows of fangs, wrenched from the mouths of the beasts the cult kept chained below their fortress

Claws:
another one of hte many lterations, Dax was to set loose unarmed, and as such was "gifted" with a set of clawed digits

Special rule, Clumsy:
While the surgical modifications to his body may have made him combat capable, they haven't done much for his manual dexterity. Subtract 5% from all tests that would require fine handiwork or a delicate touch (picking locks, typing on computers, balancing books etc.)

*grins*... Definitely a radical Ordo Xenos, no doubt about it. :D

I personally have to say the character is quite nasty to face. Dead hard in a fire fight and can take a decent punch. (Compared to my H'rud, that is).

Perhaps it might be nice to see people posting Inquisitor characters here and employ them in an RPG. :) (Oh, Vinz as H'rud *cackles madly*...).

Yes., he's really on the edge

What i'm trying to makeisacrar h,while being very hard to kill, is not capable of dealinga lot of damage himself
he would basically be a a guard type thing who hangs out around my warband to put his untouchalbe-ness to use. SO i want to balance him by giving him the short ranged weapon (aoutpistol), taht wayhte only palce where he would be effectivbe is right up close, where he is at a disadvantadge
might make hte following hcnages
-remove optic range finder implant, thus really limting his effecttivenes beyond maybe, 10 yards
-give him the crippled "ability" from the mutant rules
-perhaps remove the flak?
- give him the beweaponed limbs and razor sharp claws abilites

So what do you think? I know he can take a fair bit of damage (he was designed that way, as my opponetns will problably be totinga lot of bolters and power weapons and I want to give him a chance of coming out okay)

Well, you know what's funny, after first reading the description of your character, I was thinking of Billy the Butcher from the FMA series. (Although he was encased into a suit of metal, he also had a helmet with large wolf-ish fangs and 'furry' hair). Trust me, if you'd give him blades and make him combat master *chuckles*... Just make sure at least one of your opponents is called Ed then.

You're contradicting yourself with your character though...

... You don't want him to be capable for combat, but you give him horns and claws. Why? It would have made more sense to give him an extra set of eyes, or perhaps a tail to remain more balanced when jumping over ravines, or the likes of those. (Deep, large spaces). Check the chipmunks, they use them for the same purpose. That way, you'd still have a mutant, but certainly one that can turn every route into a valid escape route for himself.
