Fanatic Online Issue 96

Welcome to the 96th issue of Fanatic. That means since we started this venture there are over 288 articles up on this website that are free to view and still available for you to download at any time, whether it’s from the latest issue (more on that in just a moment) or from issue one. You can view our back issues using the Fanatic Online back issues page. I’d like to thank all the article authors who have contributed over the years, please keep submitting so we can bring you a new issue every month.

If you’re viewing this through the newsletter and haven’t visited the Specialist Games website in a while then it might be worth your while popping over because we’ve had some fantastic content go live in the last few weeks. The Games Variant page has been very busy and you can now download complete files of the Battle for Armageddon board game, the origina l Mighty Empires rulebook and Dark Future, yes, you read that right, you can now download all the material ever published for the Dark Future game!

So what does the latest issue of Fanatic Online have in store, well I think it’s our best issue yet – yes I would say that – but the content really is top quality.

First we have the Book of Nemesis. This is a massive fan-created project by the guys at www.cypra.net. This 5.6MB file, is 62 landscaped and fully formatted pages of BFG goodness. Thanks to Marcin Gerkowicz and his many troops for their work on this. Read it now.

Next we have an equally impressive feature. Authored by the mysterious Firuz the Accursed and his Accursed gaming group, Relics of the Crusades is a Mordheim campaign set in the desert wilderness of Araby. It’s another luxuriously formatted PDF that comes in at a hefty 6.2MB. Part two of this fantastic campaign will be in Fanatic Online issue 97. Read part one now.

Finally for this issue, and for this year, we have some great house rules for Inquisitor. This time dealing with, those psyker-slaying Culexus Assassins in your games. This is the only article in this issue that’s below 5Mb in size! Thanks to Ant Loughlin for submitting this. Read it now.

And that’s it for this year! I’m still at work for a good few days yet but I’m not planning on doing anymore website updates in the time I have left – getting the latest White Dwarf to print beckons! Anyway, I’d like to take this opportunity and thank you for visiting, thanks to all my contributors and especially thanks to all the Moderators who look after the Specialist Games forums. The website shall remain online and the f orums will remain open all the way through the holiday period and I’ll be back again shortly after the new year has started.

If you have some time off over Christmas I hope you can get some Specialist Games played. I know me and my brothers are already planning a Blood Bowl mini-league when we meet up.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

For now,
Andy @ Fanatic

I've downloaded all the *.pdf files and will be reading tomorrow during lunch.

... Oh, and before I forget: WHEEEEEEEEE, BFG SUPPLEMENT. ^_^
