can anyone tell me what constitutes an infentry unit. IE do ogre-sized units count. and can giants/greater demons assault a building? Or direct me to the page in the rule book. |
| I had a cool picture but I lost it. | |

infantry i believe are usually models with a unit strength of 1 on a 20mm or 25mm base. and if it says that only infantry can assault a building then i dont htink taht lets monsters attack buildings however im not entirely sure due to the minotaurs or ogres or something attacking an empire building in a White Dwarf Nemesis Crown battle report

There is three types of troop in Warhammer, Infantry, Monsters and Warmachines. Warmachines are well, machines of war. Stuff like cannons, trebuchets, ratlingguns and ´stuff that shoot laserbeams. Monsters are ... monsters. And infantry is everything else. I don't got much time so I can't describe so closely, but Ogres coutn as Infantry I think but thats the only monster-based thing that coutns as that. |

only models on foot can enter buildings, so a knight can't enter a building, but an ogre could. and you need to be US10 or less, so 10 clan rats could enter, or 3 ogre bulls, but 0 knights of the realm. |

US 30 per building. US 5 may shoot out per level. after reading the rules vary closely it says that only infentry can assault building(i.e capture and occupy.) I am thinking that any other non infentry models can attack the unit inside |

im think only a tcertain amount of a units strength, strength 10 i think can attack the builing at one time but up too either 20 or 30 can be in it. |

i was under the impression that all the unit strength rules involving buildings came into effect when defending a building, not attacking it
