Greetings one and all, A while ago, Shade the exiled one began an Inquisitor Character Competition. Although it has taken far longer then planned (mainly due to me starting, forgetting about it and so on), I have managed to finish my v1.0 draft for a H'rud character in Inquisitor. I've used various sources for this one, varying from the 'Dead or Alive, You're Coming With Me...' article from Exterminatus issue #1, that is available for download from the Specialist Games website. As mentioned, this is a draft version and I do hope to improve upon this. So, any feedback that can be given is highly appreciated. Greetz

I don't know the Inquisitor system, but i like the way it seems characterful and pays homage to skaven. A quick, light-weight and lightly armed sort of critter. How does the Inquisitor system work? It's a RPG one-character type of thing, was it? |

Fixed the code for the stats... To elaborate a bit on the character, I don't really believe it's fully ready yet. At the moment, I have a 'rat-like' creature (I guess the tail gives it away) that has senses that enable him to track enemies and the likes of it. However, it's not fully done yet, as I hope to add rules for Night Vision (seeing how they're nocturnal creatures in the end) in order to really make it a unique creature. Perhaps some other trademarks could be incorporated too, but I still need to read up on old Inquisitor articles to sort that stuff out. @scrivener: Inquisitor is indeed an RPG, based upon the (in-)famous Inquisitors from Ordo Malleus, Ordo Hereticus and Ordo Xenos. The players create warbands (so no, it's not a one-character thing) of an Inquisitor and its entourage of desperados, psykers, guardsmen, etc. Once created, they set out to perform missions and the concept of the campaign you then start is somewhat akin to (for example) Mordheim, seeing how characters can evolve, but also gain wounds. It's definitely something I want to try out and in the end, I still need to playtest the character. *grins*... Greetz |

Quite nice Vinz, very tastefully done I have a few ideas that might be good for a Hrud character 1). I have been thinking; have you considered using the pathfinder stats on the games site? It would seem to be more in what I think the Hrud are like; a quick, lithe race that excels in hit-and-run attacks, long range sniping, and ambush attacks. 2). In addition I remember reading how the Hrud prepare and sell medication to the other races, so a medi-pak might not be out of character, just a random thought. Also you might know that, given that the Hrud are masters of adapting technology, so it would not be unusual to see a Hrud with a piece of modified wargear or Archeotech 3). I agree completely with the idea of giving them the night vision special ability (Sons of khaine article), however they should have some sort of rule that makes photon flash grenades and the like more effective, maybe double the number of turns they are stunned for? @Scrivener, I would recommend checking out the link below for more information on inquisitor Inquisitor homepage @Vinz, on a slightly off-topic note, should i post a charcter I want to workshop on this thread or create a new one? |

1.) To be honest, I do need to read up on my H'rud background... I've got some snippets here and there (2nd edition 40k I.G. codex, amongst others), but not a real coherent picture of how the H'rud really are. So, whether I should use the Pathfinder stats or not is still something I'm sorting out. My line of thoughts when putting these stats together was to create a nimble 'weak'-ish creature that knows how to abuse your weaponry (high BS and Sg), not really that of a guerrilla fighter. 2.) Can you pass me a link/ source to that piece? And just post your character in a separate thread... Always nice to see some more topics and discussions here. ![]() Greetz |
