Always thought it would be fun to have a traveling version of warhamer battle with warmaster miniatures ... Use battle army list of 2000 points ... a foldable magnetised board and use warmaster models with magnets stuck under the bases. Would also be much cheaper then getting the big ones ... Need to think about it some more ... |

i know people who have metal carry cases and have stuck magnets to the bottom of their minatures to get them to stick to the inside of the case... rather strange to see... as for doing travel version wouldnt all the dice go everywhere? |

Daniel cannot possibly exist in a dimensional state. Recent studies show that people who have attempted to comprehend Daniel have either disappeared, died spontaneously, or driven themselves into a pertinent state of insanity and/or catatonia. <img src="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/adoptables/23041.gif" alt="Broken Adoptable Image" /><br><a href="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/levelup/23041-dark-whisper.htm" title="Level up this Daemon!">Level up Adoptable!</a> | |

i have seen this in white dwarf before, about 10 years ago, maybe. It was a travel 40k board, though, using Epic pieces. They had used a pin board type material for the board, and attached pins to the underside of each model. All the scenery had pins attached to them too. Not too sure what they did about the dice... perhaps having some kind of box you roll them in is appropriate? |

Me and a few friends played 40K with epic miniatures before we could afford proper 40k armies. It was actually quite workable. We used magnets... or rather there are these signs you put on your car to show that you are a driver in training. They are a soft magnetized plastic that can be cut into tiny circles and glued underneath the bases of the models. We used the same signs for the game board, underneath thin cardboard of the cereal package type (it was a shapeceship interior terrain). The models stuck quite well to the board. With warmaster you could do the same of course, but since they are metal and quite tall for their base size they might be unbalanced. Also, one problem is that some infantry will be quite hard to snip into separate models. While some in a unit can be used as they are (like unit bases in wfb) one still needs some to remove casualties. |
I am currently writing an epic Dragon Age 2 adventure that can be found HERE!! or on my deviantart.

Maybe just a little built in calculator that generates random numbers between 1 and 6 .I'd love to see if something like this would be able to function though. Would warmaster be small enough? |

actually now you mention it, i have before written a program to generate random numbers and have also written a program that outputs numbers to a digital display (it was used for numerical representaion of motor steps during test phase) if i combined the two with push buttons to decide how many dice you were rolling then we could be onto a winner... |

Battlefleet Gothic or Aeronautica Imperialis perhaps? ![]() That actually sounds like a really good idea... Maybe I'll put that into practice. It would certainly make road trips more interesting... warmaster models on spinny wheel bases... that tally wounds and stuff...Pillz |
