Why oh why is it so fun to paint miniatures... And so very VERY boring basing them. *glares at warmaster army* Gah, I am so bored it ain't even funny. I should write something I guess, but I can't think of what. Haven't written rats in ages, and nobody is online at my RP site... Because I should be basing. Feh. I just needed to vent for a while. |
I am currently writing an epic Dragon Age 2 adventure that can be found HERE!! or on my deviantart.

I can relate to that, basing is boring. Though I hate getting sand everywhere. Heh only about... 1 squad clanrats, some giant rats and my leader is based the rest are standing on burnt, black ground. To relieve bordom? Since models usually just lie there until a game why not make a series of small, quick campaigns with them. Something like... Slave revolt. A group of slaves have broken free of their chains and it is the job of the slavemasters to round up and 'apprihend' the slaves with extreme prejudice. Slaves: 3 to... however many slaves. Slavemasters: 1 to every three slaves. Slavemasters( I.E. packmasters) have whips with unlike normal weapons have a range of 4" when out of combat. They also have an armour save of 5+ representing their tough leather. Area: A narrow tunnel which counts as difficult terrain due to the high level of water that the slaves were forced to work in. After the game maybe you could include the results in a small story using the outcomes, kills and movements as a basis. Mutate: Ok, after a (very) quick playtest I say that it shoud be 1 slavemaster to every 2 slaves. All units are not in formations and can move seperately until they get into combat where all units that are in combat form into ranks, kind of like skirmishers. Slavemasters have LD 6 and slaves have 2 but they can get the +1 for every rank made up of 4 slaves, when they get into combat that is... Oh and the whips count as attacking with handweapons so they use the WS not BS. |

Keep it PG there guys... I also find basing fairly boring. At least with my dark elves I actually do a bit of detail to the bases, so its a little more enjoyable. Pretty much the only way I do it is painting while blasting music. In fact, thats the only way I paint.... |

Was it just me or did I just read an exchange of innuendos between vorg and rattsu?? Easiest solution to basing: theme your army to be in a location with black parquet flooring.

How do yo tinhk i feel? I debased every last model i own to save space in shipping them over to NZ. So i hav ealot of boring time ahead of me when tehy arrive. Although basing my Witch hunters was kindoff fun. Armed with sprue debris, clippers, modelling sand, greenstuff and spare parts, i had fun making them ![]() You should try making basing funner, by adding little detials and such to the bases for example, half a Chaos space marine Torso with head on the base, covered in bullet holes and chainsword slashes, painted to a colour scheme you using colours you never really use along with sprue rubble. Hope that helps

Lets just say that the foot troops are ussually the size of snotlings if not smaller.(This is an estimation though as the last time I saw warmaster figures scale was a year ago when I came to england) |
