Okay so my Skaven Chieftain holds the Gouger as one of his magic items and I equiped him with 2 hand weapons. Since two hand weapons gives me +1 attack do I get to use the Gougers ability once for every attack or can I only use it once? I couldnt find the answer to this anywhere. Thanks! -Buboneek |

A magic weapon can't be combined with any other close combat weapons, (see page 121 of the rulebook for clarification.) So he just gets his one attack with no armour saves. Hope this helps

wouldn't it be nice... but no, you cannot combine magical and no magical weapons. - Dash |

No extra attack, but as basis for a Chieftain is three attacks, he still has that. Not just one as stated. So 3 strikes negating armour. Or did I miss something here? |

Nope. I think Dema just confuzzled herself. Morgoth said, 3 Armour-piercing attacks... no more, no less.Pillz |

This seems to crop up pretty often, and I think the confusion is because people think that "2x hw" is buying your hero the ability to wield dual-weapons. Unlike RPGs (like D&D or sumthing), it is not getting an ability, then wielding a magic sword in one hand and the default hw in the other. "2x hw" is simply having 2 standard hws as equipment. |

Exactly - there's no guarantee a magic weapon is even a hand weapon, and by the rules for a hand weapon - a one handed weapon with no bonuses - one can gather it is ruled out. If you really want to dual-wield the Gouger, take Queek - he carries both the Gouger and Dwarf Slayer, and combines the both of them!

If you were going to pay for the Gouger, why not the (Blade of Black Fury?) one that gives +2 Attacks instead? |
