So on every page I've been on for the past couple of days Ive seen RAPPELZ with a picture of a barbarian guy and a girl in armor protecting everything but the top half of her breasts. So id figure id check it out. Looks cool, so I was to dl it. But when I do (after 3 hours of dling...) I get this "zip" file (wth is a zip file? I'm a comp noob). And inside this zip file is another file and niether of them open into the game. So I was wondering how to correctly install Rappelz (Im redownloading it... 9% at the moment. On top of that, has anyone actually ever played it? Looks good and has good reviews, but id like to know from u guys if its a good choice. Also, if none of us have played, we could all start up and make a UE guild! 10% done! squeeks |

Okay click extract all instead of clicking the folder and extract it into a destination such as C:/Programs Files/Rappelz. That should do it. Just click on the icon that comes up after that. I hope that helps! -Buboneek |

.zip .tar .gz .rar all mean that the file has been compressed (same file, takes up less space). the point of that is to make it easier to transfer it. As the above post suggested, tell windows to "extract folder" or any other command that uses the word "extract" in it. This will unzip the file to wherever you told it to extract it to and then you can run it. |

When we talk about the location of something on the computer, it goes like: C:/Documents and Settings/Random Folder/that file.exe It means it's in Hard drive "C" (that metallic box inside your computer). Between the ///// are the names of the folders. The "main ones" are called Document And Settings and Program Files. And a zip file is like a sports bag, really. It,s a bunch of stuff in a zipped bag. You have to unzip it. Which dumps it somewhere. So you have to decide of the "somewhere". To unzip a zip file, right-click on it, and you'll get choices like "unzip", "unzip here", "extract". Those are the ones that you want. |

I've played it, but then I've played all the G-Potato games It's good, though frankly I didn't really see too much that separated it from your generic Fantasy MMO. A really fun G-Potato game is Space Cowboy, the pvp in that game is out of this world! |

Yeah because if you try to open a sports bag when you don't know what's in it you stand a chance of finding some pretty nasty stuff inside. Be carefull you don't catch a virus! ![]() Cheers, Bodacious. |
