Hmm... very observent there Lashific. I suppose either Skaven got the idea from somewhere and decided to use it for themselves or that man-thing stole it. Meh... I'd say that its not a too uncommon thing. Don't goblins have something like a thing-catcher too? |

I believe I've seen a human wielding a things-catcher on somekind of Steam-Tank variation, on a small howdah on the roof. I'll see if I can find it somewhere... |

Skryre rat. Born and bred.

*checks book* Wow. He's right. The rat catcher also seems to like rat skulls a litle too much... Maybe he's a cultist? Though... strange job for a Horned rat worshipper, pest control. |

ah yes, that's the one I was thinking about, the old Wagon o' War. Hmm... Modifying one of those, but with warlocks and moulders instead of humans, and giant-rats instead of horses...

that's an actual weapon, appropriately called a man-catcher. it clamps around a person's neck and they're screwed. Some had triggers to open and close the spiky part, which kinda reminds me of those claws you can get that pick stuff up |

indeed. The old special steam tank that worked with 2 floors=> one for the drivers and one for all kinds of fighting and shooting crew. And one of them was holding a thing catcher. Probably some Man-thing found it while hunting rats in the sewer. Even for a rat the tunnels can be dangerous.

I don't think this is what I was thinking of; In the WD when the Steam Tank was released (ages ago when WD was a decent read, and included a great Empire vs Bretonnian battle report) there was an article on all the steam tank variations that you could make, including an open topped mortar tank, something called "old reliable" and the one with a howdah packed with engineers with a variety of weapons. It is possible that the same models are used in this steam tank as in the war wagon. Mutate~ Here it is, from WD 262, at the bottom: ![]() James |

Found a website that had one of them, ta daa! I do remember a mancatcher featured in one of the Berserk mangas. The Church Inquisitors were using it to catch heretics or something. |
