"As I constanly get warned for my behavior Ive decided to cut down the swearing so I can go on with the posting like any other member of this Board. Recently, first time I swear in around a month or two since I started to cut down the swearing they have now given me the 4th warning, THE FOURTH, WARNING. Only because I swore (CENCORED, Swearing! It was not a complete word, the F word was cencored!-Even before the Co13 cencored it Because of this, along with me going to crete in two weeks, I will most likely not be seen on the UE anymore. Im tired of this. yeah, im the badguy. But you use me as a scapegoat and im tired of that. To dear UE; Bye." I hope me posting this is okay. I still don't think you should leave over this though Wolt!

Just out of sheer curiosity, what's with the "Someone posting on behalf of ..." thing that happens every once in a while when someone is temporary banned? Are people so terribly in need of attention? I mean, I personally believe that a Private Message towards the administrator would do much more good then having someone posting for you that you're the innocence itself. (Nothing bad meant Wolt, just something that keeps striking me as odd). As a response to this matter and from my personal point of view (SO NOT ON BEHALF OF THE CO13), I'd have to say that you knew this was coming your way. You have been warned a serious amount of times that your constant use of profanity was really taking on a serious unhealthy level and that if you didn't stop posting it, the Co13 would make you stop posting. (Bad use of words, but still...). Now I have to say that the period that you didn't use it (or where I simply haven't seen it) is indeed impressing and shows that you can contribute to this forum without the use of profanity. So, what strikes me as odd: Why use it again?... Cause even if you censor it (FYI: *PEEP*... is censoring a word, not deleting a single letter from the word), the use of profanity in your post was still absolutely not needed at all. So, even while it might sound harsh to you that your posting rights have been revoked, you had this coming your way and you most certainly knew that it would happen! Now I'm not going into a discussion here about the matter, but feel free to PM me. ![]() Greetz |

personally i don't see the use of WRITING bad words and such. Is it that cool or does it emphasizes wat you want to say THAT much? No, not IMHO. It's quite easy when you type something. "What is this easy. |

I agree with the councils decision i'm afraid. There is absolutely no reason to swear here. The only time I ever swear is usually under my breathe when i'm annoyed about something, but there is absolutely no reason to do so on a forum. James |

I'll make things clear from the view of the guy that actually did the banning. About 3 weeks ago I gave Wolt several, very clear warnings about his swearing in posts and told him that if he continued, i'd have other option than to ban him for a short while. Subsequently he didn't swear for a few weeks and then he started again. Sneaky had to edit something out of one of his thread titles and I finaly saw him swearing in another post earlier today. I've given him a temp ban for 7 days, but i've allowed him to keep coming back to the site and use his PM function. We have younger members on the site and the rules on swearing are there for a very clear reason! Just because he didn't swear for 2-3 weeks, should not allow him to start again. The rules are there permanently for EVERYONE! No one wants to see Wolt leave. Far from it! I hope he comes back in 7 days with a slightly revised attitude towards posting. All he needs to do is leave out the swearing and i'll be completely happy! ![]() Oh and for the record, slight censorship is NOT ok. We all knew what he had written. '£$%£$' is ok, as you can't tell what it means.

Good behavior does not give people the right to acts of bad behavior ... otherwise we could say "Yes, I stole from that bank" or "Yeah, I killed him" ... "...but I hadn't done that for X years! So it's okay." To bad though ... I could use some more money, lol. Basically, good behavior is what keeps you away from Mik's daggers

hmm, i can't help but feel that the relaxed attitude i really liked the site for is fast disappearing. This site still is relaxed and friendly, as it always has been. Thats one of the reasons it s such a great site, full of brilliant members. Another reason is that the rules are upheld and the site is in good shape because of it! I've not found any site on the net that holds up to this standard, with the large amount of fun that goes along with it! ~ Scarfesteri don't know the full story, and i'm not arguing for or against wolt's ban. just hope he comes back is all. it's just to a lay member it could be seen that the site is getting a lot stricter and less member friendly. but, i reiterate, i'm not on anyone's side, it's just the way it appears to me. i don't really fancy all the mods giving me the right act after saying this, it's just what i think. I think you mean the riot act! ![]() Nobodt mention that damn, I predict a riot song! <_< |

well, after Bas' ban i thought that too, cause i still think he was a great asset and i would be pleading for a 6months ban nstead of perm (but thats not the discussion now, it has been closed). So, on to this. I originally thought that it would go away, all the fun etc, but actually i still find the forum to be one of the best (with the 'Stone) forums out there. I don't know if you noticed, but everyone here is NOT using profane language, bashing other members for what they said/thought/ or even painted! Look at the healthy discussions in Off Topic that go off topic even more healthier! I'm having fun on this forum, it's a good place to go to while im studying (right now) so i can set my mind elsehere and be busy with the hobby i enjoy a lot. Using profane words does result in banning, and since wolt has been consistently using those words over the time he has been here, and has gotten 4 warnings (in alot lesser time than Bas mind!), a 7 day ban is understandable, and he should learn of it. That being said, this forum still is very fun, i like the madness, the painting logs/pics everyone sends in, the competitions, the nice discussions. I couldn't disagree more with you Casper. It's not becaue someone made a mistake and therefore got banned for a week, that it makes the forum less fun... |

gah, there are mods in my post editing stuff (first time that's ever happened) Creepy eh? It's like we're inside your mind! maybe it's the members changing more than it is the mods, and that's why i notice people being pulled up for mistakes/misdemeanours more than before (or at all lol). maybe it's because these days i actually know the members and care when stuff happens to them. i don't know really lol. also, i've only ever heard people say right/riot act, that's why i don't know how to spell it lol. i guess that after my time on asur (during the HotR) i noticed that they lock/close topics and seem to ban members a lot more than is the case here (maybe i judged wrong, it's just the way it looked in my eyes), and i'd hate for our community to become like that. maybe it's because they had a broader scale of members due to the campaigns they run, i don't know. with the recent bannings that have occurred i just got kinda scared that it would stop being the cool place i like to procrastinate on so much lol. Heck I'll get in your post/mind too ... bannings? I recall a single recent banning... not counting bots and dual accounts of people already banned but here's hoping wolt don't get kicked out permanently. so far in life authority has tended to treat me unfairly the times i have got in trouble with it, so i guess i'm just a little too quick to get on the defensive these days lol (or is it offensive, hmm, either way, it's something-sive lol) I think this depends on his ability to stop using profanity (something that's been discussed often w/ him) and not send PMs containing the middle finger gesture to Co13 members |

Sorry if I sound harsh (it's only because I am), but Wolt really irked me off. He's simply too childish for fora. It's not his age but his attitude in general. I mean look at Kill-Kill, he used to be the youngest member of the forum yet he always acted properly. He was as respectable as any adult. Warwolt however, is always too excited. He'll type posts with one word repeated over a dozen times in capitals (Case and point, the S&V sign up thread, which was edited by Sneaky I think). He does this non-stop. Not only that but he spams and swears a lot. He needs to cool down and mature (let's hope that can be achieved in the 7 days he's been temp-banned). Maybe in time he'll be able to re-join the UE and become a respectable member. Well there's my point of view, extreme as it is. Careful, he is still a member of the UE until he has received 5 official warnings. I think this kind of discussion is best left to MSN, AIM, e-mail, PMs, etc. @Seb: The truth is usually harsh on the ears but needs to be said lest we live in ignorance. There are still rules of the forum against saying such things about another member of the forum. If such things are true about a member, others will have undoubtedly noticed them anyways. Mutate : Cut down due to a polite request. |

Keep in mind too how long Bas stood at 4 warnings. We really don't like to hand them out because if a member actually gets that far then they've usually had an impact on the community, between every actual warning theirs usually a few that are off the record, so if Wolt can show constraint (which really shouldn't be that hard, just proof read your message before you post) then he should be more than capable of staying on this site for good.
Actually their's two: Bas and Garbag, though Gar was just a general nuisance and was gone fairly shorty after joining[/color] Garbag was really a bot and you know it

Funnily enough, Bas has something to say on this subject after hearing about it... "The UE moderators went too far once again. Seriously, F-ing is not a swear. Just like dang, heck, etc, its just a "polite swear". Church Approoved. If you ban someone for something sooo insignifficant, thats okay, it can happen. But its not the first time, right? Maybe its time for some of you to take out ye olde self reflection mirror and see why you realy ban people. Basfully yours, Bassik." Once again, Id like to remind you these are his thoughts over MSN, not mine. *bows* This is Vaascrit for the Bassik Breaking News. Thank you. *Reflects on why we really ban people* ... found it, a wonderful spot in the rules talking about not using profanity as well as other things you should not do... click here and, personally, note: just my opinion, after reading the approximately 640 threads in the Co13 (32 pages, 20 threads per page) I don't quite care what Bassik has to say as his history speaks for itself |

I'm normally content to just ignore all this sort of drama and not get involved but... Why must these people try to place the blame for their bans/suspensions on the Co13? You read the rules and yes they do apply to everyone. You got your warnings and requests to settle down. If you got banned or suspended you really haven't got anyone to blame but yourself. Whats the need for the profanity anyway? The only thing it does is show the rest of the community your total lack of maturity and class. Leaving one letter of a swear blank is hardly censorship. I'm sorry for the Co13 that they have to put up with this nonsense just because some people feel they are exempt from the rules. Acrux |
