Anyone read any good Warhammer/Warhammer 40K books?

The only Warhammer book I've read recently is Skavenslayer and that's because I've got it here on my desk.
The other books I've read are "Ravenor" and "Gaunts Ghosts: Straight Silver" both of Warhammer 40,000. The first being about an Inquisitor and the second about the Imperial Guard. Both good, but the Gaunt's Ghost one was difficult to understand as the library didn't have the previous novels.

Thx cause I've only read one book and that was from the Malus Darkblade saga.

Ive read quite a few, they are mostly a good read, I like the Gotrek & Felix novels probly a bit too much

If you can borrow them from a library or e-bay them it's a bit cheaper than buying them from GW, thus saving you cash for more mini's.

If we arnt meant to eat animals , why are they made from meat?

Try this its fun!

Gotrek and Felix are very enjoyable to read, especially Skavenslayer (which was my favorite even before I started collecting Skaven). The Last Chancer novels are also good. However my favorites are definatly the Bloodbowl trilogy (Bloodbowl, Deadball, and Death Match), although it does help if you're interested in Bloodbowl (which I am :P).
I have read the first Gaunts Ghosts book, but I didnt think it was great; I still read it occationally, but i'm not convinced to buy the rest of the series like I am with Gotrek and Felix or Bloodbowl.

As for nominations: Frankie, of course, because I love to vote for him and watch him fail

I liked Eye of Terror the best, it was really imaginative since they actualy go into the Warp and all that fun stuff. Other than that I think the only ones I've read was the Inquisitor series which was a really good little series that few people know of and Skavenslayer cuz everyone was doing it and I wanted to be cool :P

Gotrek and Felix are fun, but hardly good (in fact pretty bad IMO), athough Orcslayer isn't half bad. The Malus Darkblade books, while having lots of repetition (look! Malus almost died and was captured before miraculously escaping AGAIN), are very well written, and are actually very good.

But that's all that I know. :P

the first 7 gotrek and felix books and the first 4 space wolf novels were great. I read all the SW ones once and all the gotrek ones twice. I havent picked up the latest from each series as they have a new author, i want bill king back!

and the bloodbowl series are awesome, blood bowl, dead ball and deathmatch (not read 3rd one yet).

I am looking to get vermintide and any other skaven related novels

btw, SkAVENSLAYER is amazing, my favorite G&F novel (read that one 4 times :P ) i sold all the books i have now apart from skavenslayer and the bloodbowl books

theres a warhammer monthly comic that has the entire series in one book with others... mark of chaos i believe was its title... but it was these comics

loathsome ratmen is a must read... as well as rpg manual children of the horned rat

darkness rising was an alright recap of the storm of chaos, but it only included a blip about skaven...

i wish i had gotten the vermin tshirt or poster... :(

Warpspawn is the only Warhammer book I have ever read. Read-read it. It's very good.

Warpspawn is very good, although technically it's a fanfic, not a book.

I'll recommend reading the Witchhunter series and Genevieve. I've read Gilead's Blood too. These are good if you want to know what the psychology of "good" witchhunters, vampires, and elves are like respectively.

I've read Mark of Chaos, and it's action-packed. Not the best I've read, but still good.

The only 40k book I've read is the graphic novel of the bounty hunter of the Necromunda hive, Kal Jericho (?). Drawn by many artists, so the change in character design confuses me somewhat (although Jericho looks pretty much the same. love his hair lol)
