Well i finally made my mind up of going nurgle. I was also tempted by slaanesh (cos the mounted lord for both these gods rock) but then i realised theyre both opposites in a sense, as is khorne and tzeentch. Slaanesh is all about beauty and looking dazzling, while nurgle is all rotten and plagueridden and looking disgusting. Khorne charges bloodthirsty at the enemy with no thought for personal safety, while tzeentch stands back and blasts the enemy from afar. But i chose nurgle after narrowing it down to slaanesh or nurgle, becayse i love the models more. Even though people say they look like piles of crap which i suppose the plaguebearers do... <_< Ill buy the mounted nurgle lord and paint him up for next months painting vows, and enter him in the competiton (which you all must enter too )

Slaanesh all the way. I need to finish my Slaanesh army some time...And Slaanesh is most definitely NOT all about looking pretty and dazzling. It's about getting the pleasure you want in life, no matter how horrid it seems to others. Sure, sometimes being dazzling helps you, but that's not the whole purpose. ![]() Pillz |

Because of my views on evil and its dubious existence, I always think of the Chaos gods as aspects of Mind and Body. Khorne: Perfection of the Body Tzeentch: Perfection of the Mind Nurgle: Corruption of the Body Slaneesh: Corruption of the Mind When I first started looking at WH, (and of course, as a 12 yr old, 40k appealed to me more) the Death Guard looked damn awesome. I have loved my Papa since then. My Beasts of Chaos army was going to be Nurgle. Gotta love the hooded Pestigors... damn those are good looking models. And +1 Wound and Fear/Terror always helps. At the moment my Centigor and Beastlord (all the BoC I ever got before going to Skaven) are painted undivided w/ black skin + white fur. Looks pretty cool. |

I would have thought Slaanesh was about perfection of the body.... much more than khorne, whose idea of bodily perfection is dismembered. |

But slaanesh isn't about "ooh look at me I have bewbz" It's about sick fantasies and strange fetishes. It's about taking the pain and enjoying it anyway. All the perversions and lust in the world given form in his daemons. I'd call that corruption of the mind. Khore is all about striving to be bigger, stronger, faster, better. Enhance the body and the mind will follow. It is way more about perfection of and control over the body than Slaanesh. |

Snotlings >>> nurglings (anytime, anywhere...). I'm not really a fan of any Chaos god in specific, but perhaps that's just due me never having been that interested in them. I guess Malal or Hashut would be more to my liking. (Hashut, the locked-up-for-eternity god of fire and brimstone).Greetz |

Nurgle. No one a withstand a crippling disease. All of the strongest warriors are struck down before the army even begins its slaughter and even then there is not much of a fight. |

I just picked up a few boxes to start a chaos army, and I'm going undivided. I'm planning on letting Crom run it. Which should be sweet! I'm quite excited. I bought two warrior boxes, a box of knights, a chariot (mounted champion), and a sorcerror. Next step is Crom and another chariot then mauraders. |

not really Slaanesh is all about perfection in every form a i quote from the chaosmarine's codex of Slaanesh
it's all about the experiences, any stimulation of the senses, no matter what. They don't care if they win or lose as long as they gets interesting sensations in the process |

Shaded, you're reading that incorrectly. Notice, it says the Artist does the art, the Soldier does warfare, and so on. It does not say anything about the artist honing his skills in warfare or the soldier his artist skills. Slaanesh is all about doing and perfecting what gives/brings you pleasure. That is why it was spawned by the depravity of the Eldar in 40k as at the pinnacle of their empire they were finding pleasure in just about any perverse manner they could find. |

Slaanesh is all about pleasures, and thus about sensory/sensual stimulation. The pleasures that Slaanesh embraces have nothing to do with the mind, since they are visceral, carnal, of the flesh: pleasures are sensory, taste, touch, sight, smell. Perfection and control of what gives you pleasure is indeed a perfection and control of the corporeal senses, and thus the body. Khorne being a perfection of the body is like a meat cleaver being the perfection of swordsmansip. |
