Hi everyone, This is my first post here *waves* Anyway, I have a quick question on the effects of Immune to Psychology. If a unit that is (stubborn) then becomes immune to psychology (due to magic) do they then lose the stubborn and take break tests normally? Thanks everyone. |

I'd say they are still 'Stubborn.' 'Stubborn' only affects break tests and 'Immune to Psychology' only affects psychology tests ... break tests are not psychology tests despite the fact that they both use Ld |

Well, based on the effect of rolling 6-7 on the Screaming Bell, I'd say that a unit immune to psychology loses stubborn. The big words are "despite being immune to psychology". |

However, VF (and I can't belive I'm disagreeing with you ) ... that "despite being immune to psychology" is the same as a unit having hatred "despite being immune to psychology" from frenzy ... hence the banner of burning hatred on plague monks.

In 7th editions Immune to Psychology only covers Panic, Fear and Terror. So a unit can be both stubborn aswell as Immune to Pychology. If you would still be playing 6th edtion, you would indeed lose the stubborn rule. |

We were re-reading the "Immune to Psychology" It states "these troops take break tests as normal." reading the paragraph in context...it (IMO) means, that the unit who is Immune to Psychology is not Immune to breaking (unbreakable) So a unit that is Immune to Psychology while not having to do Psychology tests, still does break tests. Figure CR (winner/loser) then if they lose they would take a break test as normal with a stubborn leadership roll. Others thought, Take break tests as Normal...ment they lose stubborn and test as a normal troop. No Stubborn/unbreakable LD. I do not believe this is correct. Isn't the Steam Tank now listed as Immune to Psychology and Unbreakable? Your thoughts? |

It goes like this. You have two categories. Psychology Tests: Panic, Fear, Terror, Stupidity Break Tests: Stubborn, Unbreakable Psychology does not affect how your units Break, and Break does not affect how your units handle Psychology tests. Since they are of different categories, they do not overwrite each other. Psychology has NOTHING to do with break tests and break tests are only affected by psychology in the case of fear/terror + outnumbering (autobreak unless you roll snake eyes). There is no reason a unit that is stubborn would suddenly be more likely to break due to being immune to psychology. It doesn't make sense rules-wise nor does it make sense fluff-wise. |
