Fanatic Magazine Issue 87 Greetings, I hope you are all well of this windy January day. The February/March release window is upon us and two of this issue’s Fanatic Online articles reflect this. The Araby List is obviously the rules, background and army list for the new Warmaster Araby range of which you can advance order. Rick Priestley and Lex Van Rooy have been working on this list for sometime and it is now ready for public consumption. Read it now. The next article is a discursive one by Jervis on how you can play as the forces of Chaos in your games of Epic. Read it now. The reason for this article is because we are releasing the Epic Chaos Horde kit through GW direct within the next few weeks. (Check with your local GW Direct for exact dates). The Chaos kit contains 2 of the Epic Infantry sprues that were originally released for Epic 40,000. I’ll have pictures on the website of this kit first thing next week. Finally for this month Robert Elliot gives Blood Bowl Human coaches a stern lecture in tactics and the use of players. Read it now. I was planning to write a long-winded diatribe on how our games fit into Games Workshop’s gaming universes to accompany this issue, unfortunately, I’ve been stuck in numerous dull meetings all week so I’m having to delay my editorial until early next week. Along with a full-length editorial, expect to see some major site updates early next week. Also, do not forget the extended deadline for the Warmaster campaign competition is this Monday (22nd of January). Win! Win! Win! Talking of competitions I have just got time to announce a fast and furious competition for you to win over £140 of Black Library Novels! Including 4 omnibus books (Gotrek and Felix 2; Space Wolf; Soul Drinkers; Gaunt’s Ghosts – The Founding) as well as over 15 novels including the two recent Necromunda novels Back from the Dead and Outlander. To win this large pile of pure reading goodness just simply answer this question: Who is Gotrek Gurnisson’s vermin-like nemesis? If you know then type the answer in an email, with you name and address, (subject heading: Black Library Competition). The Competition is free to enter and open worldwide. The winner will be chosen at random from the batch of right answers. The closing date is Friday 26th of January. Terms and Conditions apply – please see Games Workshop’s terms of use for more information. Important – please note that, unlike our article writing competitions, you may only enter this competition once. Send your entries to fanatic-andy@games-workshop.co.uk I’ll be back early next week. For now, Andy @ Fanatic ____________________________________________________________________ So, for this month we see the release of the Araby army for Warmaster, together with an official v1.0 armylist. Even while I have some of the books already, I've sent a mail to participate in the competition. New books are always fun! Greetz |

AH! The Spambots got Vinz! ANYways, while I don't play Warmaster, it's always fun to read up on the new armies and rules anyways! Can't wait until it's online... *rubs hands together with glee* |

Where do you think they came from all the time? (LOL, j/k)By the way, you'd really like to see Warmaster become an online game? Personally, I wouldn't be that much in favour of such an idea, as it sounds a bit too much like RTS to me, which is a gamesystem I simply do not prefer to play! Greetz |
