I'm not sure but I think hats yes. If it is like that high elf magic helmet I think not because it gives an armour save

Page 40 of the Mordheim Rulebook:
Quote:

Casting Spells
[...] A wizard may not use magic if he is wearing armour or has a shield or buckler.

As such, I'd say that helmets do not fall under this rule.

Not sure wether this has changed with new errata's/ FAQs.

Alright, thanks Vinz! That rule is why I wasn't sure. Didn't know if you'd classify helmets as armour.

Well, technically they are off course, since they're added to the armour list (don't know how it's exactly called as I don't got the book with me at the moment) in the equipment section. But let's just keep it at armour and shields getting in the way while casting a spell, when helmets don't. ;)

Edit:
I'd like to edit my statement regarding this issue of sorcerers and helmets. Recently I've had a discussion with someone and he claimed the armour as mentioned on page 40 of the rulebook to refer to the Armour section in the equipment list for the sorcerer, not simply the item itself... While I personally believe and use that page as a reference towards the items, I wouldn't start using my word as definite on this issue. I'll try to look up wether this has been dealt with during an FAQ/ errata, cause I've started to doubt what the exact meaning of that text now ought to be.
