Passengers fly into a panic over stowaway mice. Newspaper report: Screams louder than roar of engines of Saudi plane

Quote:

DUBAI - The screams were louder than the roar of the engines when more than 100 passengers on board a Saudi plane fought off an invasion by 80 stowaways: mice.

Al-Hayat newspaper reported on Friday that the mice escaped from the bag of a traveler on the internal Saudi Arabian Airlines flight and started falling on the heads and scurrying between the feet of panic-stricken passengers.

"An hour after it took off from Riyadh, the aircraft was at an altitude of 28,000 feet when passengers were surprised by the mice..." the paper quoted Omar al-Jarrah, an airline official as saying.

The authorities detained the owner of the bag after the aircraft landed in Tabuk, in the north west of the country, on Wednesday to investigate how he had managed to board the aircraft carrying live mice, it said.

these film concepts just get worse and... oh its real lol.

i know their mice and not rats, but i can't help but feel proud of the panic and anguish a horde of rodents can cause amongst the man-things ^_^

Okay....
I suddenly feel so much safer going onto a plane in a world full of terrorists, were a person can smuggle a bag full of mice on so easily.... or make it into buckingham palace with a box with "bomb" written on (which some reporter did one or two years ago"

And the deers is just...odd, i wonder why it has so many mutations? next step to evolution?

Because it was pretty much hit by a truck. They do show his leg. Or rather, legs. But its one leg. But it has two.
Oh the humanity.

Probebly threw itself at the truck.
Really if Deer had cognative though could you imagine what would be going through it's head?
Truth be told the extra limb thing does happen more often than you'd think to animals like deer and cows, and their have been humans born with both reproductive organs in the past...

This is obviously a brilliant scheme crafted by the wisest of the allmighty grey seers.

What annoys me here it that a number of rats, who are far older and wiser then me (or so I thought) seem to find it neccesary to chatter about it in a loud and public way like the dumbest slaves around!

hush-hush!! Don't do the thinking for the man things. Their lackluster intelectual capabalitities could never find out such a plot by themselves, but if you SPELL IT OUT for them even they might begin to grasp the consequences.

Astra out.

Hile Bassik, doesn't that remind you of the deer in "Wizard and Glass" which was killed by Blaine's shockwave? ;)

As squee says, it's uncommon but not impossible. they are called chimeras (after the mythical creature) and are not exactly mutations, they are actually twins. It happens when a weaker twin is absorbed by a dominant twin during the early stages, while the embryos are still clusters of cells, and the absorbed twin continues to develop partially as a part of the dominant twin. Sometimes they form a single complete being (like in mosaicism, where the skin has a patchy colour from belonging to both twins), or sometimes it's a bit more hotchpotch (like one reported case of a bloke with a right testicle and a left fallopian tube).

In this poor deer's case it might be possible that it is a chimera, a whole litter became conjoined. All cells that are programmed to become legs are correctly forming legs, until the twin cells start developing independently to form those partial legs. It reminds me of a guy I knew once who had a second boneless right thumb, just under the main one.

He didn't, he hit it with his truck, which is kinda ironic him being a hunter and his most famous kill was done that way :D
