Yo,

Recently, I got hold of an emulator (the ZSNES off of romBay.com, if that makes any difference) and was delighted to see the stuff you could to with it! Namely play old games that are nigh impossible to get hold of.

The problem is that, while I can save for RGPs, every time I close and open the emulator, the file is gone. <_< It's so far happened with FF and Mario RPG, so I'm going to assume it'll happen with every game that doesn't use codes but rather save files in order to continue. Does anyone here have any experience in this field, or better yet, an idea of what to do?

Either try the save states (F2 = save, F3 = switch and F4 = load)
Or try saving the game the old fashioned way (save point)

If that doesn't work, add me to MSN and I'll send you my emulator. Maybe it's the program this has something wrong.

More grey every day.
For ZSNES 1.36, save states are files stored in the same directory as the ROMs. The file name is the same as the ROM, except for the file extension, which is in the form .ZSn, where 'n' is the number of the save state. If you can't find the save states, try searching your hard drive for anything in the form *.zs* and see what shows up.

If you don't have write permission to the directory where the ROMs are then saving state will probably fail. Try copying the ROM to "My Documents" (assuming you are on Windows) and open the ROM from there, then save state.

So old. So so old.
