Yes, I'm back. :P

____________

In the many long months since his arrival in the Skaven's "Civil War", Grimview had stood relatively apart from both allies and foes... the war had been eventful, to say the least, for the Night Driver Tribe. From the betrayal by that damned Beastlord in his original plot for a mercenary faction, to the many losses suffered in the Union of Flames and the Stronghold, the oaths against the Rebellion of Flames and the Corrupted Order, and finally the fall of the Dark Lords and Grimview's plans for Grot World... this war had seen the massive Warlord's most crushing defeats, his most desperate battles and his bloodiest victories.

After the dismissal of Snakey Nose and Squiggy-Brain, who went south and formed the Blood Rain Tribe, Grimview slipped further into the maddening bloodlust that had gripped him for much of the war. The snake that had accompanied him at times in the past months was now ever present, either slithering behind him or coiling around a limb, and the crimson shade of the goblin's eyes was now darker and more malevolent than ever.

The Night Driver Tribe was at an all-time low on troops, reduced to a mere six-score and seven, and Grimview had completely disappeared from the war for over a month. No one in the Under Empire had seen, nor heard, from him, and he had disappeared without warning. The minor bosses of the Night Driver Tribe spoke in hushed voices around their fires of the "Dark One" having taken Grimview, and among those with no real rank in the tribe, wilder stories of the Warlord's death, assassination, and enlistment by Gork and Mork for Ragnarork, were widespread. Little did they know, however, that their Warlord had gone on a quest of an entirely different nature...

-----

At the outset of autumn of the second year since the arrival of the Night Driver Tribe in the Civil War, Grimview Grot's tortured, shattered mind finally gained a grasp on what was happening around him... and the Night Goblin Warlord disappeared in the middle of the night. The grey snake was gone, the foreboding sense of doom among the lesser greenskins in the Night Driver Tribe was lifted slightly, and the Tribe slowly recovered. However, none of the bosses dared take over, for all feared the wrath of Grimview should he return... and thus, the Night Driver Tribe lay dormant in Fang Archway in the Children of the Warp's service.

Meanwhile, Grimview was solving what he saw as the primary problem of the Night Drivers - the snake that had been haunting his dreams, and invading his mind, over the past year, and the visions it forced upon the warlord. The visions of that terrible eye, and the one cloaked in shadow, and of that other, hellish world...
To Grimview, this snake was the root cause of all that had befallen the Night Drivers since the fall of the Stronghold, and the failing of Grot World, and whatever master it served was the cause of the decline of Grimview's once great tribe. And to this end, Grimview went on a pilgrimage to the surface world above the Children of the Warp's territory... to Ferlangorc, the primary point of resistance from the Greenskins against Chaos in the Storm of Chaos so long ago...

-----

No one is really sure what happened to Grimview Grot in the ruins of Ferlangorc, nor do many truly wish to know. What is known has been pieced together through a mixture of the stories told by the goblins of the Night Driver Tribe around their fires, and the very little that Grimview told his strongest remaining bosses... and that little is this, in the words of Krune, boss of the last of the common goblins in the Night Drivers:

"In da ruins... in Ferlangorc, da boss foun' som'in 'e'd been missin'. Some say Gork n' Mork visited 'im dere, in da place o' his grea'est fights and battles, and o' our tribe's most gloryous days. Others say dat 'e just finally managed ta win da fight with dat damned snake in 'is head... but da boss, 'e didn't say any o' that. Wot da boss told me, is what I'll tell ya. Our Warboss, Grimview Grot da Great, found som'in 'e'd been after a long time dere... 'e found a sign from Gork n' Mork 'bout what 'e's s'posed to do. 'E didn't say what dat sign was, but 'e told me one thing; Ragnarork is comin'... and the Night Driver and Blood Rain Tribes are at da 'eart o' it. An' dat... dat is why I stay with th' git. Grimview may be th' most insane Goblin ever to live, but 'e's been blessed... an' whateva problems 'e may've 'ad afore now... da snake's gone, an' 'e ain't killed da rest of us yet. We just gotta get back in Da Children now, an' 'e'll lead us to glory greater than wot we 'ad in da Storm..."

I'm like a mix between GG and ACDM and New Yorker. Wow. No wonder I'm fucked up.
