Ooh... nice job there! I really like the tanks.... ^_^

What are those metal rings on his head supposed to be, though?

thanks to all ..

pics from above will be next weekend ..

warwolt the engineer: it's too late to create some pic_documented guide .. so simple explanation:
sculpting: tank is created from 2 pieces of common pencil, glued together. Horizontal belts and fuel tank filter caps are made from miliput .. also the hose-pipe between tank and original GW model is made from Miliput .. little tubes on top of the tank and shoulder straps are made from the guitar string. The hardest part of model, which is not viewable on model, is the cloak between model and tank .. hope will be seen on future pics .. its made also from Miliput .. I made little scratches and one bigger depression into tank surface with razorknife.
I assambled the tank together at first, then I glued it on the model, then added shoulder straps and sculpted the cloak.

painting: whole model has black undercoat .. tank was painted with dwarf bronze, wattered down with washy snakebite leather (I found it perfect to creat rusty bronze) and some goblin green to represent warpstone leakage. Horizontal belts are painted with boltgun metal, wash of bestial brown (rust) .. edges of tank were highlighted with bronze, edges of belts with chainmail .. hose-pipes are drybrushed with bestial brown .. the rest of model is painted like common skaven (bestial brown drybrush with thin black wash for fur, snakebite with thin black wash for flesh, higlighted with snakebite leather) ..

hope it helps .. and sorry for my english, I'am not native speaker B)

little tips at the end:
The best way how to create thin belts from miliput/gs (to represent bandages, belts etc.) is to create thin roll.. then put it between 2 plastic sacs, then 'smooth' it with blunt side of knife to wanted thickness ..
Fuel tank filter cap is created from 2 flat pieces of miliput, glued together and cutted to requested shape after hardened.
