I was playing this weekend and my army was accused of being cheesy(its a bubonic court list) and it made me start thinking, what is cheese? What makes ones army cheese filled. Is it because you cant beat it, the characters are too powerful, the weapons are to deadly, its unrealistic or is it because people associate mice with cheese. Just wondering what the rest of my skaven brothers thought.

IMHO, cheese is using units in ways and situations for which it was not designed, and therefore it's points value no longer functions as an indicator of the unit's worth... Rattling guns are cheap, and deadly, but when they wrote the book, they expected it to be used in twos or threes at 2k as clanrat support... They didn't plan for players to take 5 of them in 1k, and for these five teams to become the main power of the army.... That and playing outside of the spirit of the game... |

When you minimise on somthing to max somthing esle or focus on 2+ aspects of the game or phases where you know you are almost guaranteed to win. That would be considered cheese in my oppion.

One defenite reason would be that alot of people consider any type of skaven to be the crem'de'la'crem of cheese  frylok
