snow scatter

hi guys i need some help with the g.w. snow scatter. my problem is when i base my models with it it looks wrong what is the best glue to use to put it on the base watered down p.v.a makes it off colour and blotchy and paint on varnish does a similar thing any suggestions please :(

well, i was actually given a tips from a Gw staff about this during a test-off-the-new-flock thingie when i painted :D

1. add PVA glue everywhere you want the snow to be, and remember that snow falls from above

2. add the snow by have some flakes between you fingers, then rub them against eachouther so that the snow falls down, IMHO this looks really good. And remember to make it cover, when PVA shows trough it looks kinda wierd :P

I´ve used it for my dwarfs.
I´ve used 2 layers of it (on some spot 3 layers),
it look much better then. and I use PVA.

thanks will try using more then as i have only used one layer will have to try two or three much obliged :D

The 'painting guru' on Citadel of delights and COTEC adviced using a 50:50 mix of white glue and baking soda for snow, and you could theoretically put the snow stuff over that.

multiple layers of snow are a really good idea, if the snow looks a bit off colourmake sure your pva is clean, and try painting a white patch where you want the snow to go
