i've been playing around with this for a bit, and wanted to play it by you guys... what i always see on Monks are green/grey robes... though this gives it a cool look, i wanted (as usual) to do something else.. so in stead of the usual scheme, i wanted to make the robes lilac/light purple with some green n brown smudges.... i want to have the skin slightly lighter than the rest of my army and lots n lots of blood.... would this work? if yes/no, why? and how would you work this out? thnx in advance... |

I think you could pull it off. Paint one monk and post it if you decide you really like it. Or do like I do and just set the colorscheme as your wallpaper set up on your computer. |

if it matters to you, in the fluff Nagash quoted in another thread, GW describes Pestilens secondary colours as purple/blue i was thinking about shadow grey to spacewolf grey w/ a purple ink show us how it works out, do a test model |

sounds good, and if you are going for that, what about paint the robes "nice-nice" first, then go mentally-sick and make them look mentally-sick fanatics? Sounds cool with the old collor scheme to be putted on those new modles atleast

Yep, as Nagash quoted in another thread, the monks have been known to wear purple robes, so that should be fine. But be warry of mixing greens and purples together as they tend to 'clash' quite badly. Id go for a light purple colour and then make it look dirty with a thich brown wash. Paint up a test model and post it.

i'll try to fix it asap.... might be some time though.... 'cause i have a total shortage of..... i know green and purple clash easily, but what i wanted to achieve is a clash between the two (making the overall dirtyness increase) without making it too ugly.... but it'll take a hell of a lot of experimenting to get that right.... |

And now look at them! Darned plague monks. Always thinking they're better than everyone else. Living by special rules! Just like them. Hmph! Remember the time that the Horned Rat told them to keep thir heads and hands inside teh ride at all times? Same thing! Rat heads and limbs flying all over teh place. Disgusting. I don't think they'll ever learn. Tsk. |
