Heres the Plauge Priest ive been working on, and i use the term "working on" loosely, ive actually been putting him off for quite some time now. Ive been so frustrated w/ these "rope" sections on this model that ive been avoiding them. The question is, what the heck are they?! Ive been painting em as sort of a vine thing but its not really doing anything for me, it looks to solid to me to be metal (wouldn't bend that way if it was) Why couldn't they have just made it a chain like the rest of the censors?!? Next question is which skulls do you guys think look better the grey ones or the dirty lookin one?

Was hoping to have this guy done a while ago but i haven't been enjoying this model one bit lol, and ive got about a dozen other things in the works as well (grey seer, empire style inn, and a "wolf ogre" conversion not to mention a couple hundred clan rats)

Going to be redoing the skull on his head, his teeth and possibly his face. Anyway, tell me what you guys think of the model

You paint very well. It looks great and I can't really say there's anything I'd change except maybe (look below).

I like the look of the grey skulls but think that if the dirty skull wasn't so brown I would like that better.

I really haven't got good answer to the rope/vine/whatever question. I'd guess it's somekind of thorny vine but then again, those arent flexible in my imagination.

Skaven Plaguelord the GW studio way

I'm not sure if that GW miniature has it painted like rope or what?

awesome job! yeah the rope is rope with metal spikes stuck in it. I think the grey skulls work best with your overall color scheme, it complements the fur and overall color tone.

Great model man...
I'd try to paint close to the GW model with the rope/chains, cause I don't have any idea myself on what kind of material it really is. I'd stick with the grey skulls though. They fit with the paint scheme and don't mess up the model.

Hm, I think its that stuff Packmaster whips are made of. You know, thornrope or something.

That makes sense. Maybe try painting them like metal and see if that works for you.

Very well painted model. As mentioned before, the skin tone is exellent. It looks realy diseased and corpulent. I really like it.

The skulls all look fine, but id suggest you varry them with differnet amounts of brown, so that it looks like their taken at different times. Maybe keep one grey, so it looks fresh.

Im not too sure about the viney, rope thing, but what you've done looks good.

I am not here to be nice.
Can't really find anything to criticize about this one, except that it isn't finished! :P B)

Complete it, quick-quick! :D
We are living on this world on rented time and now we can't pay the rent
We have thrown out our garbage into the corridor and we have clogged the toilet
We have annoyed the neighbors and we have pissed off the landlord
We have stolen all the wares from the nature and we have poisoned our veins with greed
We have powered our hearts with a false promise that we aren't so bad and we have told ourself that everything happens for reason
We say that we will be forgiven and that all we do will ok when we die
We do not deserve to be spared and we deserve to burn
For the anquish we have caused this world
We deserve to burn

damn sweet...

id say blood spatter is almost a must at the final stages :censor:

more so if your going to be putting him in a unit of plague monks... paint the monks that go near him with the same splatter design on their heads. since he is really the only flail in a unit of two hand weapons the blood spatter should look different. (slashing vs blunt)

tho if you go with a censer... green glow :D ive seen some nice models that use lighting effects but if the monks get green robes as well it might be hard to pull off right on other models and stand out.
