New Magical Items; balanced (or so i think)

Here are some new magic items i made, some are totally new, some are changes to useless skaven items. I made the items for my personal army, but many may be used in every skaven list. I have playtest these items and i think that are balanced. So, here we are:

THE BLOOD BANNER
Chieftain BsB only, 75 pt magical banner
The banner is embroidered with scenes from all the victories of skaven all over the years, and bolsters their fighting capability and their faith to their warlord.
The unit containing the banner gains and additional +1 to CR and are stubborn at the unit's Ld that time. (example, a unit of 20 stormvermin containing the BsB has Ld 9, so if they receive a frontal charge, they are stubborn at 9. After some rounds of combat, the stormvermin lose the 3rd rank. Now they are stubborn at Ld 8. In the next round, an enemy unit charges them at the flank. Now they have no ranks, so they are stubborn at Ld 6)

BANNER OF HASTE
25 pt magical banner
This banner makes the skaven react faster and quicker.
The unit adds +D3 to its charge move. In fail charges the unit moves as normal, ignoring this rule

THE RATBLADE
75 pt magical weapon
Retrieved by an old temple in the continent of lustria, this blade is a deadly weapon that can kill even the toughest enemies with ease.
This deadly blade allows no armor saves, and all 5s or 6s to hit wound automatically

LANQUISHER SWORD
40 pt magical weapon
few changes for languiser sword, so that more ppl take it
The wielder has +1 Str and always strikes first. If another enemy always strike first, resolve attacks at initiative order. If initiative values are equal, roll a dice to see who strikes first.

RUST ARMOR
50 pt magical armor
some changes here too
Gives a 5+ save that can be combined with other armor as normal. The wearer discounts the first wound suffered.

HORRIBLE HELM OF FEAR
30 pt magical armor
The wearer of this dread and horrified helm makes the skaven masses around him fear him, more than anything.
Gives a 6+ AS that can be combined with other armor as normal. The unit containing the character may reroll failed fear and terror tests.

IRON ARMOR
35 pt magical armor
Made from stolen gromril and dark magic, this armor makes the skaven that wears it hard enough to resist any attack.
The armor gives 4+ AS that can be combined with other armor as normal. In addition, no attack, regardless of its strength, may wound the wearer in a roll better than 3+. Attacks that wound automatically negate this effect.

WARPSTONE TALISMAN
50 pt magical talisman
Created from pure warpstone and black iron, the talisman protects the wearer from any sourse, be it normal or magical.
The wearer gains 4+ Ward Save, and he and the unit he is in have magic resistance (1)

CROWN OF NURGLITCH
Clan Pestilens only, 50 pt enchanted item
This crown, once weared by the great Nurglitch, gives to its wearer savage ferocity, and protection from magic and shooting.
The wearer never loses his frenzy if he loses a combat and got 5+ ward for shooting (not magic) and magic resistance (1)

HELM OF THE DOMINATOR
15 pt enchanted item, one use only
No one knows where this helmet came from, but skaven general that wear it, have saved many battles in a critical situation!
The wearer or any unit that he is in may re-roll one failed psychology or break test once per battle.
A Challenge? I can't say i accept, victory is in my grasp now, man thing. My horde beat-beat yours, why should i bother fight you...

The Blood Banner - No. Skaven should not be Stubborn. Skaven are not Stubborn. Nothing should make them stubborn. It's one of the Skavens downsides, and it's not really something that should be removed. In theory and fluff, this banner is a good idea. In practice, it just doesn't fit in the army.

The Banner of Haste - Bretonnia has a virtue that's similar, but it's one use only. Your Banner, if it's multiple uses, would have to be slightly more expensive then it is. Say another +10 points.

The Ratblade - NO. There's a reason that *most* poisioned attacks don't ignore armour. Having a poisioned attack that is improved (Changing from a one in 6 chance to a 1 in 3 chance) and ignores armour would simpley be too powerful, even for 75 points. (If you really like the weapon, it would probably be around 100 points...and 150 for combining those abilities. Not very useful as you'd be unable to take it then)

Lanquisher Sword - Similar to some Empire Swords. Needs to be about 10 points more expensive.

Rust Armour - is fine.

Horrible Helm of Fear - Fine.

Iron Armour - Not really something I'd agree with. Good armour save AND special ability (that is acctually considered quite powerful). You'd be looking closser to 50 or even 60 points for it.

Warpstone Talisman - Fine

Crown of Nurglitch - Drop the Magic Resistance, or raise the points cost to 75. Otherwise it's a little too good for its points.

Helm of the Dominator - Fine. No problems with this at all.

Actually, this banner was designed for my own clan's home rules, that have common points with clan mors and its a combat oriented skaven clan (rules in home rules section of the forum). It fits there. I agree that no normal skaven should be stubborn, but the elite stormvermin of an elite clan could be stubborn on ld 6 :D
Maybe i should say the unit of stormvermin containing the skaven BsB is stubborn, so that no power player makes his 50 slaves with BsB leading from the back stubborn... Yeah, i ll make that...

1st.
Hm, i believe that fellblade is more powerful, strength 10, d6 wounds, no armor saves... This only does 1 wound a time. 75 pt is fine i think, would you ever take it if it cost 100?

2nd.
Maybe you 'll like it better if the weapon wounded automatically on 5s and 6s and only then would allow no armor save? How many points would u think it should cost then?

You are right, there is the same exactly weapon in Empire Army List :blink: And costs 50 pt, so 50 pt it is...

Here comes my second (and last) disagreement.
Why is that? The ability isn't so good, why should that cost 50-60 pt? Look warpstone armor, same AS, same points, same power.

maybe you are right, but then no one will take it as no one skaven character from the normal list has frenzy. So, magic resistance dropped. The whole item is dropped, its not good idea...

because the fellblade has a 1 in 6 chance of causing your character a wound every turn and with the poison and the no armor save is a bit much the gouger allows no armor save and is 50 points grom has a axe that does that does killing blow on elves on a 5+ instead and that is considered to be about 20-30 points by itself and that is only on 3 armys your trying to make one that does it on everything least take off the 5+ and make it 6+

How bout being stubborn on base ld or Strenght in Numbers. That way you could get the bonus against flank charges, but otherwise not very useful.

Acctually, no, not entirely. Warpstone armour has the same save, which I don't really have a problem with. It's the 3+ to wound that is acctually quite powerful.
It means that a cannon, needs a 3+ to wound. A S10 weapon, needs a 3+ to wounds. Things that say "Always wound on a 2+"...would be in a bit of a pickle (though if we take Archaon as an Example...he has the same ability and many people moan about it, then the 3+ rule takes presedence. I'll give you credit for not going as far as him, as his is 3+ even against hits that normally wound automatically). That's why it would cost more. Not because of the save (which is fine), but because of the ability COMBINED with a good save (though, in fairness, most things that would wound on a 2+ normally, wouldn't allow a save, either as a reflection of their ability, or due to high Armour save modifier due to Strength.)
Consider...in the case of a Cannon, or other S10 attack, which can wound just about anything in the game on a 2+...so it only ever fails on a 1. That's a 1 in 6 chance (Or 16.6666%) of failure. Not very high. The Armour changes it to a 1 in 3 chance (or 33.33333%) of failure...much greater statistically speaking (And warhammer, ultimately, with its dice rolls, is a game of statistics).

Statistics is great, i myself study maths...
But its not always the truth. No cannonball will ever hit a skaven warlord lol. He will be inside a unit. As for archaon, the 3+ ward save and tzeench magic makes him invinsible, and his 10 str 5 no armour save attacks... I think that a warlord that spends more than his half points in armor and a dangerous ward save won't be that imbalanced. Suggest a price for the item as it is, its no use to change it.
