Ok, been werking on this for 2 days, and i think it's time for opinions. Skittin Warpchoker Takes up a lord and rare choice. 300-350pts lvl 2 wiz m 6 ws 3 bs 3 s 3 t 4 w 3 i 5 a 1 ld 6 Warpstone addiction: If skittin didn't use any warpstone in this turn, make a ld test. if skittin fails roll on the addiction table: 1-2: Skittin gets Frenzy, loses his magic and moves 15" towards the closest enemy 3-6: Skittin gets frenzy if he succeeds, deduct 1 from his leadership (minimum 2). he is so addicted that he will loose his nerve if he doesn't get his fix for a longer period of time. The ld modifications caused this way will be removed if he uses a warpstone token. Warpstone reliability: due to his addiction, Skittin can take more warpstone than others. warpstone counts as being reliable (pg 27) Warp energy field: skittin has so much warpstone in his system that he's surrounded by a field of warp energy. he gets a 4+ ward save. addicted healing: when the roll for the number of powerdice generated by refined warpstone tokens is 6, skittin can choose to heal one wound iso adding 3 powerdice. the token does not count as being used for addiction purposes. Upgraded warplightning: skittin can cast the warp lightning spell at 11+ for 3d6 s 5 hits. Warp lightning master: skittin can cast warp lightning as often as he has powerdice. Equipment: warp blades UWEC SCWPA warp pistol 10 Refined warpstone tokens: same as warpstone tokens but add d3 powerdice iso 1 powerdie. first warhammer chara i created... what do you think?? |

pretty good. your missing the attack stat (will not make a joke of it because of what happend last time). i am not sure about the rules i am sure some others will be more able to pick fault with them but i do think that having 10 of the refined tokens is a bit much for what they do. a question related to that and anybodies opinions would be welcome. do you think refined sound the more powerful type of warpstone or raw (sort of unfragmented and then sculpted into what ever you wanted was what i was thinking)? i was wondering for my own character. thank you. fixed the attack stat (which explains why frenzy is so dangerous for him) that's all worked out in the cost.... 1 refined WST is 20 pts (10 for 1 pd, 30 for 3. add up and devide by 2 (average) and you get 20) he gets 2 for being a lvl 2 wiz. wich leaves 8=160 points.... so i'm inclined to the 350 point cost.... although he does have a lot of setbacks... i think.... raw is to me pure and uncontrolled and thus not at the peak of effectiveness.... refined is so worked that it gives the optimal result, max effectiveness... |

you see i think that but the wild and untamed can surpass its limits (this does not make much sense but a machine has set limits but and organic can train and become better and can strain and push its limits and to refine to me is also to make it safe eg so it will not explode which would reduce the power) especially something as unpredictable as warpstone. ok i did not realise you did it all with the numbers and everything. i think the rules are pretty even but we will have to wait and see. well yes but still to refine i think is to take control and then improve because if you can not control and understand something how can you make it better? but i guess the main point is that its skaven not man but another example is the rat ogre. they control them and understand them and they can not stick a blade in its arm with out controling it first but then maybe it is a too separate example. Looks pretty good... I reall like the addict rules. One thing I'm not sure about is the Warpstone HEALING the guy. Maybe there should be a SMALL chance of the guy hurting himself and/or a chance of it doing nothing. Pillz |

the hurting part has already been incorporated, (see the waprstone reliability rule), but i also wanted to give something that would protect him beyond his ward save.... addictive healing.... statistically, you have a 1 in 6 chance of getting that roll. with that in mind, it may happen 1 or 2 times, maybe 3 if you're really lucky... but the drawback is, that if you use it for this purpose, you lose a round of effectively using Skittin.... the longest time that you can use him with reliability is 10 rounds.... for every wound you heal, this is reduced by 1 round... and Skittin in frenzy is useless and easy victorypoints for the opponent.... so this is a dangerous character to use in long battles... i think that and the high cost balances the chara a bit.... maybe i should increase a ld decline to add a bit more balance.... i'll put it in an see if you like it.... thnx for the input though.... |

He is imbalanced as nothing i have ever seen!!! You have 1/36 chances of being hurt with one of your tokens. So, he may eat them all (in 6 rounds of play) without even taking a single wound. Lets see what means to eat four tokens in one round. You ll get 4-12 power dices (lets say 9) and you have 3 on your own. That means 4 warp-lighting in a round by one character!!! And with 4+ ward save he won't take a wound from accidental hits! Field him with 1-2 more engineers and all of your opponents will die-die. Limit the warp lighting use to 2 or 3 times at most. Or give him less refined warpstone tokens (or make the tokens normal) Just my opinion... |

so kill reliability and healing.... that are concessions i'm willing to make... but he has to keep the great number of tokens... it's part of who he is.... you just happened to forget that when the tokens run out, he is virtually useless.... you can go pp and waste all of your tokens in the first three turns, but after that he's useless.... but i think i'll add the rule that in any army Skittin's used, no other engineers may be taken. he fears other engineers more than anything else (except running out of warpstone) because of their jealousy... (and the fact that one of them sent an assassin after him) addiction table addition: 1: Hatred towards any character that's currently carrying warpstone. will move the 15" towards that character. Will keep on going and attack the character until Skittin has had his fix.. will this be better?? |

One question about
What his warpstone? Only chunk of warpstone, or anything warpstone powered. The second one would make a lot more sense otherwise you would need a warlock engineer or a grey see in your army for this to be negative. |

it says warpstone, so it's warpstone.... tokens are just a convenient way of consuming it... (rats have about the hardest teeth in the world)... so yeah, the second option counts.... full list: Fellblade Warpstone Stars (he eats the poison on them) Death Globes (inhales gasses) Warpstone Armour Warpstone Amulet (duh) Eye of the Horned Rat Tokens (*smack*) Skavenbrew (does not benefit from it's effects) Warpstone Charm Plague Censers carried by Characters Warplock Pistols carried by Characters Assassin's Poisoned weapons. The character can relinquish his weapon to give Skittin his fix. The weapon is destroyed, but still counts for VP's of the character that started with the weapon. |
