ok i've updated him. removed all the weapons, as i wanted to focus more on his own abbilities. also added a short history Warlord Pipsqueak, Champion of the Horned Rat Pipsqueak uses up a lord and hero slot, and may only be fielded in a clan Pipsqueak army. He will always be the army’s general. No matter what. He must be fielded exactly as presented here, and no additional equipment or magic item may be given to him. 30 years ago, clan Morrs was on its way to power. Warlord Gnawdwel, gave order of a special clandestine breeding program, to create the perfect skaven soldier. Faster, stronger, extremely vicious, and capable of following orders to the letter. Though the scientists where able to create a pack of newly formed skaven, only the smallest runt was capable of any rational thought and speech. Named Pipsqueak after his small size, the runt quickly grew in a healthy specimen of the skaven race. Standing head and shoulder above any normal sized skaven, he possessed the strength of an orc, and was able to outdistance any slave. He was trained by the best Eshin instructors in the ways of martial combat. Soon Gnawdwell saw use of further improvements. During several painful procedures, pipsqueaks blood was replaced with a new skalm rich concoction. A Gromlin-Warpstone alloy was created, to replace his bones, but shortly after they had modified his paws, which where now able to sprout large claws from the tips of his fingers, Pipsqueak escaped, slicing his way trough the guards, freeing an army of slaves, and then fled with his new army to the kingdom of Bretonnia. Warlord Gnawdwell shut down the project, on account of the “Price of the raw materials” Pipsqueak found an abandoned dwarven stronghold, which was now the home of a small skaven clan. Pipsqueak quickly rose to power through sheer strength, and started raiding the surrounding lands. He became wealthy by trading captured slaves with the chaos dwarves to the east, in return for large quantities of Warpstone. He further increased his foothold by placing spies. Everywhere. There was nobody in the world he could not blackmail. No High Elf wizard, no Cathayan general, no Arabyan sultan. All where under his control. He even was able to got the council of 13 to leave him to the business of creating a gigantic army in the name of the horned rat. He surrounded himself with several individuals which seemed to be equally unhinged as he was. Like, Anaish, the serpent princess of Slaanesh, and Ripgut, the orc Warlord of Bloodpike mountain for starters. More and more flocked under his banner. He himself becomes more aggressive as his power grows. He rides on his creation, Steelsnap, screaming at the top of his lungs, praying the horned rat for death and destruction, and total victory over his enemies. And now he stands ready to unleash his horde on the kingdom of Bretonia, and after that…the world. _____________ M WS BS S T W I A LD Warlord Pipsqueak: 5 6 4 4 4 3 7 4(5) 7 Cost: 435pts, Equipment: Pipsqueak wears Warpstone armour, bands of power, a shield, and a hand weapon. Mount: Pipsqueak may ride Steelsnap the Ratwyrm, for an additional 270 pts. he will also count as an additional Hero choice if you do. SPECIAL RULES Supreme ruler: Pipsqueak has taken control using excessive force and blackmailing. His soldiers don’t respect him, they fear him. To represent this, any unit within 12 inch of pipsqueak becomes stubborn out of fear of punishment. They are terrified to fail him, and constantly seek his guidance. If Pipsqueak is in your army and a skaven unit is outside the 12 inch range, and not in close combat, that unit must make an immediate panic test. They may use there rank bonus though. Chosen of the Horned Rat: Pipsqueak claims himself to be the embodiment of skavendom. He sees himself as the true herald of the horned rat. Whether or not this is true, he has been able to escape impossible odds. Being swallowed by a drogon for one… To represent this, he has a 5+ wardsave. Rend: in stead of fighting with a hand weapon and a shield, pipsqueak may fight with his metal claws. At the beginning of any combat fase, you may choose to declare to do this. In this state Pipsqueak loses any modifiers the shield and hand weapon give, but he gains an additional attack, and all attacks count as armour piercing. “I loath you!”: Pipsqueak hates all humans, despite sometimes being immune to psychology. This hatred includes: imperial Humans, Bretonian Humans, any chaos marauders and warriors, and any human Dogs of War. Skalm blood: Pipsqueaks blood has been replaced with Skalm by Clan Morrs. To represent the healing abilities of this product, pipsqueak has the Regenerate special rule. Insane: pipsqueak is not one of the sanest individuals. At the start of every turn, you must roll a D6 on the following table, and apply the result: 1-2 “These incessant voices in me head!” Pipsqueak try’s to listen to the voices that all try to give him advice at the same time. He is affected by stupidity for one turn. 3-4 “the world will be mine-mine!” All as normal. No effect. 5-6 “I am your doom! I’ll rip out your spine!” Pipsqueak works himself into a fanatical rage. He will be affected by frenzy for one turn. Note, if he is also fighting with his claws, he also gets the additional attack for being frenzied, up to a grand total of 6 attacks Steelsnap the Ratwyrm Steelsnap counts as a dragon for the purpose of all spells, special rules, etc etc. _____________ M WS BS S T W I A LD Steelsnap: 6 4 - 6 4 6 3 3 5 Cost: 270 pts Equipment: piston driven jaws and steel claws. SPECIAL RULES Stupid: Steelsnap is not one of the smartest creatures around. He counts as having Stupidity. Terrifying: Steelsnap is a monstrosity, created out of the twisted mind of a madman. Even looking at him makes grown man wet there trousers. He causes Terror Flyer: his large leathery wings allow Steelsnap to Fly Large Target: its hard to miss a steam driven, roaring, ratmonster with huge wings. Steelsnap counts as a large target. Warpfire Breath: the build in Warpfire thrower allows Steelsnap to belch out huge bellowing green flames. This counts as a breath weapon, with range: breath template plus misfire dice. Any misfire, means Steelsnap accidentally swallowed the flames. He will then take one wound with no saves allowed. Any models under the template suffer a Strength 4 hit, which allows no armour saves. Any unit suffering a wound, must immediately make a Panic Test. Piston driven jaws: attacks made by Steelsnap, allow no armour saves. |

A couple things here I'm kinda iffy about. Leadership 8. This is a no-no, no matter how you look at it. Best that you bump it down to seven, since you're not aloud having more than Ld. 10 ever. I think it's a bit over done with the T 5 as well. You also realize that you're only aloud to use a single magic weapon at a time right? Why give him both of those weapons when one will only ever be used at a time? As well as he'll only use one or the other depending on what army he faces. Errr... the dragon is also sounding like a bit much. So I think it's time to send you toward an excellent thread made by our very own Phordicus, which can be found here. Now not to be rude, lets look at this character. He's a tank. He's meant to reap death. Though it's a fun thing to have so that you're opponent shakes in his boots, it's not the image you're looking to find in a skaven army. Lets face it, the Skaven aren't capable of inducing mass homicide with a single warlord. Though it's a nice thing to have, you make characters to add fluff to your army, not a hammer to crush your foe, that's just a nice bonus if it works out. ![]() Just my two cents. |

I think str 5 is more, but this could be done. But, with T 5 also, 5 attacks and 4 wounds, this character is better than any chaos lord and he should be at least a member of the counsil of 13 Ld 8 is too much He is expensive, thats true, but a skaven simply cannot be that tough. Queek use 2 weapons, but he is unique. He is the fighting spirit of skavenkind and your character may chop him to pieces easy as cake. That pistol that does 5 att with killing blow its imbalanced :ph43r: 3+ AS, 5+ Ward and Regeneration are also to much. His magical items cost more than 250 pt, and the ratwyrm with fly is... i dont know. If i was gonna play with you, i would have accept him, cause victory doesn't matter, only fun, and sure his rules are cool. But he isn't balanced and compared to other special characters he is way too good, inacceptable too good. I believe that he could takeout grimgor with ease, maybe even archaon, and he is just a warlord of a minor skaven clan. O, and all skaven units stubborn in 12'' rule is really mad Not even Verminlord had this effect! |

A Challenge? I can't say i accept, victory is in my grasp now, man thing. My horde beat-beat yours, why should i bother fight you... Coward? I ain't coward, man-thing. Not at all, i just take-take precautions. Ratling Gun, fire-fire! Squeek squeek, what an idiot... It's a world red in tooth and claw, a world without pity, mercy or compassion, where only strength and cunning are respected. Kill or be Killed, Eat or be Eaten. The law of the Rat | |

I don't know about brutality, but it's good to see you're willing to listen to criticism. So I'll just say it again. Read that stickied thread. It's got some great tips on how to make a special character. |
