Says it affects all Units of Fyyers and Flying Monsters.

Would a flying character like an Exalted Daemon be effected ??

Or if someone could list what isn't effected it would be a great help.

Thanks

Back to retirement!

Ive never fought an exalted Daemon, but if it can fly then id definately say it would be affected... Id say that everything that has wings and can make fly movements counts...

I believe the exalted daemon is a big flying monster that counts as a character ;)

Quiet, I'm plotting.

actually my brother pointed out to me that nowhere in the Chaos book does it say that an Exalted is large.

But a single character still counts as a unit (it does have a unit strength after all) so I would say the Warpstorm Scroll effects it.

Basically ... if it has "flying" in its attributes, you'll hit it with the scroll (if within 24" of course)

so does a liche preist with cloak of dunes (allows bearer to fly) count as flying or not?
GW, sucking the fun out of the hobby since 1999.

Never worry. Worst case scenario you die, and then there was no point worrying anyways.

yup. Wings+scroll=bammingness. Anything that has the rule fly may be hit by it... and maybe discs of tzeench, but I'm not sure, since they hover.

As a Chaos player[who uses a guy on a disc], I'd say that it could go either way. I mean... a disc is just skimming the ground where as the flying monsters and units are actually taking flight higher into the air, thus extremely increasing their chances of being hit by a bolt of lightning since the discharge goes for the closest thing more often than not.

Then there's also the fact that a disc is also partially metal, as well as the armor on his back... so he's like a lightning rod anyways.

I'd lean towards yes though. He's still in the air, even if it's only partially, but I wouldn't count on a lot of people agreeing with it, since the rule says "Flying units" not "hovering units".
