Chieftain Skrymmer of Clan Rust Smiths; Special character for Skryre

Skrymmer of Clan Rust smiths Points/model: 145

Weapons: Hand Weapon;

Armour: Heavy Armor;

Extra/Magic Items: Battle Standard; ; Umbranner; Trophy of the foe; Great Longsword
Special Rules: if General 25% points of army need to be Skryre troop choise, Trophy of the foe , Powered Legs

Great Long Sword:
clan rust smiths only
Skrymmer carries a special Great Sword. It has a lenght of almost double of the skaven wielding it. The power needed to push it forward is high , also the skill in use of blades in order to control the strike of the sword.
The Great Long Sword gives him al the normal rules for Great Swords. (+1 strengh , strike last) The terrible lengt of the sword makes him able to strike against enemys behind an enemy or friendly model in base to base contact.
The Skill needed to wield such weapon also gives him a +1Ws.



Trophy of the foe:
Over Skrymmer back rises a giant banner of his clan. On it has he hanged his fallen enemys. There almost endelss trophys that is hanged on Skrymmers body and the very sight of him frightens the most men , dwarfs , elfs and greenskins.

Skrymmer collects the skulls and bones of his foes and there for he counts as having the Terror rule. Because of the terryfing stank of death that comes from Skrymmers collection , all panic test taken caused by Skrymmer is taken with a -2 modify to their Leadership.


Powered Legs: Just as Ikit Claw , Skrymmer has had to restore some of his body parts with metall. His legs whas drammatacly injuried during one of the civilwar and was replaced with a pair of warpstone powered machine legs.
Skrymmers M is zero, but he can still move. At the start of each turn , roll a D6
and check the result on Skrymmers Movement Table listed below:

1-2: Skrymmers legs is in a recovery mode and he only moves 3"

3-5: Skrymmer moves at normal 5"

6: Skrymmers machine bodypart has been supercharged
and is moving at 7"

How does it look? Good or bad? And i know it miss fluff , still got to write it :P
P.S the reason of his low M is because of the gigantic warbanner and trophys he is carring. More info in the comming fluff =D

well would you really want to slow down a whole unit with him or he would never catch up and would be left behind in a skaven army so 5 move is a must really. also i think you need to give him abit more and special weapon maybe.

hmm... what about i make a special banner/item. With a part of the effect is speeding him up. Making him not to overpowered?

I don't think I've ever seen a general be a BSB. I know you can't straight out of the list, but I am talking special characters. Also, a BSB can't use a great weapon.

I like the concept of the Trophy. I don't think having a single Fear-causing model in a unit will do you much good. Maybe up his cost and have it cause Terror instead.

I also agree that the lower Movement may not be the best idea. You really wouldn't want to slow down a unit with him. I know you think that the gigantic totem would slow him down, but is it worth it? THe rest of your army will outpace the unit he leads.

A note on his stats: His T5 is a bit over the top. If you're dead set on this, make sure you come up with a good fluff reason. Maybe a robotic body or something. After all, ROs don't even have that high of Toughness. Also, a Chieftain's Ld is usually 6.

A good start, though. Keep working on it.

I added a special weapon and rules for his movement ^_^ also fixed the bad spelling in the rules and so.. well here it is:

very inventive with the movement but still he could slow the unit down and his extra movement would be wasted almost all the time as you would want to stay with the unit. oh and are you sure you do not want a special name for the weapon?
