Anyone use any dogs of war in there Bubonic Court ?? Personally i'm thinking of some Ogre Bulls or Maneaters to go with my Rat Ogres. Not sure how i will model them or fit them in yet. Still in the planning phase. I think some Maneaters with Longsword would be awesome. Cast Frenzy on them and you got a ton of Armor Piercing attacks. (5 Per Model!!!) Expensive though, but mabye in larger games. I guess it's perfectly feasable for some Ogres to fall under some plague and make the decision... Join Nurglitch, or slowly rot to death. |

Generally, I don't use DoW in armies becasue it destroys their character. Skaven generally have little shooting. DoW can negate that disadvantage, making (IMO) the army less enjoyable. Now, Bubonic Court, because I hate the list, I actually might field DoW. I would, however, convert them to be more 'Skaveny.' Pillz |

Ya i was thinking i could just use Rat Ogres, but model them accordingly. Example, Ironguts would be Rat Ogres with a geat weapon and some armor modeled on them. And, i'm not sure what you mean about SKaven having little shooting, from reading the army book you could design a gunline right up there with Empire and Dwarves (And an awesome magic phase to boot) |

i believe he means the bubonic court over the regular list which i believe has no shooting and only a little non- missle magic. Dan |

Bubonic Court doesn't have a DoW entry. This may be an oversight, but I suspect not. I recall reading that the 'special character' lists are written in such a way as to limit the available options to make balancing easier. |

True. Let me rephrase: Skaven don't have large amounts or reliable missile fire. Unlike Dark Elves, who can have large units of warriors. Some DoW units are archers, and can be used to cover that one thing the Skaven lack without making the army cheesy. Pillz |

that is true morskitter but rather than paying excess for a DOW unit why not take more slaves, or pusbags even to cover your units, failing that more PM would rock. Still maybe its just me , also i cant really imagine a mercenry unit fighting with the skaven, it may just be me but of all armies they seem most unlikely because they backstab at every oppertunity.Dan |

Of course they wouldn't ally with Skaven.... Willingly that is. Remember the old Shadow of the Horned Rat videogame, how the grey seer got the orks to do his bidding. Skaven are crafty devils, and if they want something, they will find a way to get it. |
