The carnival of Chaos Fluff is in the Liber Chaotica: Nurgle. I’ll take my time and write it here later, but it’s a full page and I don’t have time now Because of the twisted humour of Nurgle, wagons with Nurgle’s servants band together as a carnival and travel from town to town, leaving decay in their wake. It’s said that before they start the ‘’carnival’’, they go around the town three times, singing and shouting about what the next day will bring. For every circuit they get louder and mader. The carnival of Chaos can be hired in any Chaos army lead by a Nurgle or Undivided General, a skaven army or a DoW army as a rare choice . The unit consists of 5 Plaguebearers, 5 Brutes and one Magister.
Equipment: Brutes fights with big clubs or similar weapons. The weapon gives them +1 Strength. The rest are assumed to be using hand weapons. Options: *May buy extra Brutes for +16 points *May buy extra Plaguebearers for +16 points *May buy extra magisters for + (?) points *May buy a Plague cart for +150 points Special rules: Causes fear, Skirmishers, Mixed unit, Cloud of Flies, Daemons, Magisters Mixed unit: The carnival of Chaos is a mixed unit of Brutes, Plague bearers, Magisters and a Plague Cart. When shot at, randomize hits between them. At a roll of 5+, a brute is hit, 3-4, a Plague bearer is hit and at a 2, a magister is hit. At a roll of 1, the most numberous of them is hit. When ranking up in combat, the brutes and plaguebearers will push to the front similar to Beastman gors. The player decides how to arrange them. The magisters will always stay as far behind as possible. They always count as having a musician. Cloud of flies: -1 to hit in close combat. Daemons: The plaguebearers are daemonic and follows all the rules for being daemonic. Magisters: Magisters are lvl1 wizards, but may not share power dice with any other wizard than another Magister and their dispel dice can only be used to dispel a spell cast at the Carnival of Chaos. They only know the spell buboes. You can never buy more magisters than ¼ of the number of Plaguebearers/brutes. Plague cart: If a Plague cart is bought with the unit, the Magisters can choose to cast poxes and boils, but they can only cast one of the spells once each magic phase. The plague cart counts as a chariot, except it does not cause impact hits and moves like the unit as long as the rest of the unit is still alive. When shooting at the unit with a Plague cart, the cart is hit on a 4+, brutes at 3 and Plaguebearers at 2. If a 1, the most numberous of them is hit. Magisters can’t be hit as they hide inside or behind the wagon. what do you think? the point costs no doubt needs altering.. Give it time. People don't always directly respond on your works. Look at the Fan Fiction and Fluff forum for example, there are a really lot of stories that have no response either. If it would be over a month, I wouldn't have found it odd if you bumped your post. After a day shows just a sincere lack of patience! ~Vinshqueek~ |

I've deleted your post and my explanation is above this little piece of text... What I wonder about is the role of the unit in an army. You basically have a chariot in a unit of ten infantry models, which makes it IMO a real points-sink as massed fire can blow up a severe amount of points... Next to that, what happens when all the models are dead and the Plague Cart still stands? And to severly pun you: the much older Mordheim Rules for the Carnival of Chaos. Greetz |
