Is it just me, or does anyone else have problems with RO panicking and flee off before doing the damage they suppose to??... |

learn to use the properly rat ogres are powerful beasts and stand out in the army so will get alot of fire but they are also fairly fragile so you need to support them with skirmisher slave screens to protect them from the damage as soon as their n close combat (best place is in the flanks) they make their points back fast |

Got hit by sceaming skull catapult (skulls of the foes) and they run like if they is no tomorrow... Even the warlord leadership did not help... |

Ha! I had the same problem the other day, but the catapult scattered and hit dead on my Ratling team. They ran right off the board. In that instance, I think it is just one of those things. |

No Because, as Blood Vixen stated, ratogres should be used properly. A 4 strong unit can take on a lot, especially cavalry, and come out on top! But just don't let the enemy shoot him, you got slaves for that <_< |

The screaming skull catapult (SSC) is a special case. When someone is lobbing flaming skulls at you, you just have to take your lumps. Just like everyone else. Admittedly the low Ld support elements in the skaven army are a very good target for the SSC - primarily because any kills are highly likely to see the target running for the board edge with very little chance of returning. If I was playing TK, I would designate ROs as a priority target, for obvious reasons. |

Totally. I have a similar problem with Banshee's attacking units off of the main battleline. Get a Banshee off your flank and she can get off a couple of turns of screams. Sometimes, I end up loosing something like 7 Clanrats a turn, which is bad. But, low LD is just one of the perks of the Skaven army. |

7 CR a turn ?!! damn i rarely lose that number. CR got 8 Ld with ranks so that ld is not that shitty. but when we lose rank that where we get in trouble. Ask goblin player about bad Ld. |

yep try night gobbos.. now thats bad ld... rat ogres although liable to panic, if accompanied by a nearby master moulder at least get the reroll.... |

GW, sucking the fun out of the hobby since 1999. Never worry. Worst case scenario you die, and then there was no point worrying anyways. Skaven repaint overhaul Number 5! (2/5th complete) | |

At worst I loose that. Its bad when a CR regiment has been in combat, lost a rank, and then gets Bansheed, loses four guys, which is another rank. The banshee can just follow the unit around, moving out of LOS and keep screaming. As the ranks decrease, the casualties drastically increase. I hate fighting undead, its always a tense and nerve wracking battle. But when you pass those fear tests and get in a few good hits, its worth it. Warlocking a Necro or Vampire is a blast too. |

gobbo players are able to afford the casualties though... its also fun to pop up a tunneling team by his general no armour, oh yea... 6-7 attacks, hitting on 3s (6s being poison) and wounding on 4s... no armour. Gotta love it. |

Attorney to the Rats

One suggestion is to keep them close (12" ) to your warlord when playing against Tomb Kings. That way you will at least get a LD 7 save. This technically should be the rule for all your units with low leadership. You can get several units to be within 12" of your warlord. MR |
