Greetings Ratlings! I have a question regarding an item combination: My plaguelord uses the Weeping Blades. But he is also equipped with a Plague Censer (which he cant and doesnt use) Does the enemy (and I) still roll for T tests as usual? In my armybuilder it doesnt state anything like "when you swing the thing, roll the T test". It merely claims that any model in BtB with the wielder, and the wielder himself, takes the test. Could someone clarify this for me please? ![]() (fast answers appreciated, he is in an AoD and it would be nice to know this if it could help him out) Cheers from Loren (bet you never thought you´d hear that one Ratties

Actually, I'd go against you guys and say that he DOES get the gas effect. Try it with odorants: they don't require swinging, but you can still smell them far away. Also, huge board markers do that. When you just smell them too much, even from far away, your head hurts. Doesn't require any swinging. And even Nurglitch works that way. |

wrong there skaven if he could have the tests anyway because if it then why is it only gas when the unit with the censer attacks not when ehs moving and it even says in the book that when hes swining it and it could be of use if he runs against a magic immune person of gets stuck against something like vual unmaking |

if you don't attack in combat no checks other wise your cencer beares would have to make checks as there walking around limiting there uses |

Well okey thanks! I draw the conclusion that I dont roll T test if I dont use it. I guess that´s the most logical solution. However I think carrying one around will still be releasing some gases, even if your swinging weeping blades instead. But hey, balance right. Cheers |

Quiet, I'm plotting.

Well, for balance/game purposes I would say that (as with any weapon, unless specifically stated) if you don't use the censor in combat, you don't get the gas damage. As for the fluff reason, I assume the Plague Censor would work much like a regular real world Censor, in that it would spread its contents when swung. If it is left idle, it just smoulders away, rising directly into the air. So when you swing it into combat, ir releases the gas amongst the enemies. |
