me and my gameing group are starting to get in to campains and one of them want's to make beach invashion rules. dose any one no of any rules on that or have any sugestions on what kind of boat the skaven whould use. because i don't think they well let my come from under ground flawlessle. because they have alredy let my start down there but berowing up on to a small island could be dangers. and if you followed every advantage the skaven have. it would not be fare because the skaven are the master race.

There are some quite nice ship rules in The General's Compendium. Have you seen those?

If yes, I think Skaven would have either a Magic Ship or Steam Powered. You could also say that they have slaves working the oars, but I dont think they would be too good with sials, so I would aviod that.

Tell us how it goes!

Quiet, I'm plotting.

I've actually been working on a skaven beaching vessel for my campaign. Its based on the idea of a WWII trooplanding vessel, but done up in rickety and overdone Skaven style. I'll take a pic of how far I have got when I get home (I'm at work). And i think i have some sketches of other Skaven ship designs I was working on. Most are based on German warships, for some reason.

Beach Assault has been done in the Albion Campaign and was the first scenario in the campaign booklet. I'll try to see if it's available anywhere online, though I seriously doubt it.

Quiet, I'm plotting.

Heres what I have done of the beaching vessel I am working on. Unfortunately it has been neglected recently, and I don't know when i will get around to finishing it.

The levels on the top left are for Jezzails. I am planning on having one that can hold around 10 Jezzails plus around 25 Clanrats. The rest will probably be without the levels.

This is the front. I still have to construct a gate type arrangement that can swing down when the boat reaches the beach.

Those poles on the left is where I'm going to build the operating tower, where the driver goes. Under the tower, along the back of the boat, I'm going to put a Warpstone engine of some description.

Right...

Giant-swimmy-rat was probably here

That site

The Skaven of Clan Moulder claim to have bred a giant bilge rat to carry troops to islands where the Under-Empire’s tunnels cannot reach.

As for rules, if you don't want to pay for the general's compendium [I know I don't] there is an alternative rules-set called 'warhammer ahoy', It's an improvised rules-set, but with a pretty solid base. You will have to agree on any further rules [like being above/below deck] with your gaming group... The rules can be found here.

In fact, it would appear that it's these rules that 'inspired' GW to make their own... <_<
