sort of a casting war machine. Can cast spells like warp lightning. It might have a postive thing in the aura like casters within 12 get plus 2 to casting and negative like models within 6 suffer d6 strength 4 attacks gtg being forced off computer might not be on in a while will clarify later. |

I'm not quite sure a totem is skaveny, but it's a good idea. I can think of something for it later (not rules, but other ideas as to what it could be) as I am having trouble lifting my hot chocolate (that's what I get for lugging around percussion equipment all day after I took a strength test... ![]() Pillz, |

I dunno about a Totem, but it could be something like a Warplightening Rod. Ok, actually, like a Warp Magic Battery, or Pylon. Warp-pylon. Any models withing 6 (perhaps excluding the Skaven that operates it) suffer wounds (maybe like the banshess howl or something). Adds 2 power dice, and 1 (2?) dispel dice? I dunno, if it can cast the Warplightening spell, then it is kinda just a WLC stuck in the ground. The idea has some potential, though. |

Ummm, you guys are assuming that the skaven get the chance to set up the battlefield to their liking, so may I suggest this instead? ![]() Warp-lightning Rod Firing Crew- At the start of the game, set up the launch crew on the table. They may shoot the warp-lightning rod on the shooting phase. It can fire up to 24 inches in length, but only has a single shot per battle. Once the warp-lightning rod is in place, it cannot be moved unless destroyed. M WS BS S T W I A Ld - - - - 7 3 - - - Skaven Crafstmanship-Any attack strength 7 and more that wounds the rod, automatically destroys it. Steel Construct-The rod has a 3+ armor save for being made of metal and warpstone. Warplightning field-Any unit within 6" of the receive a single bolt of Warplightning[+5, Bound Spell Level 5]. This effects both enemy and friendly units. The attack is receiving on the magic phase of both players turn. Also, any mages within 12" of the Rod suffer -2 to all casting rolls. This is to represent the unstable nature of the rod and it's effect on the immediate areas of magic. It seems appropriate that something of this kind would make some kind of effect on nearby casters. It seems so unstable... so basically its both a bane and ally. *Shrugs* Now come up with your ideas.

ok heres a try no stats need help with that and the points ![]() Warp ...... Pylon? Aura: any model within 6 of the pylon (friend or foe) suffers the effects of a 2d6 normal warplightning. any friendly caster within 12 gets +1 while casting enemy casters get -1 when casting Grey seer spirit: no crew Caster: The pylon holdes the spirit of a grey seer and may pick what kind of pylon it is. Casts like a normal caster. may cast 1 spell for free every magic phase. May cast any spell 2 times every magic phase (not sure on this one). Steel Construct-The rod has a 3+ armor save for being made of metal and warpstone. Stationary: Cant move but can skitterleap once a battle on itself. May choose 3 (not sure on points)(each number up should cost more and more and u need to buy 1 befor 2 and 2 befor 3, etc) Warp lightning pylon (#1=1d6 version, #2=2d6 version, #3= special 3d6) Skitering pylon (#1= can cast skitterleap,#2= can cast special skitterleap no 1 inch away from enemy rule ,#3= can skitterleap into combat counts as chargeing next turn) Vermin pylon (um dont have book so please post 1, 2, and 3) Pestilent pylon (ditto to vermin totem) Plague pylon ( i am thinking of range upgrade or can cast multiple times need help :() Power pylon (generates more powerdice need help :() dispel pylon (dispel version of power pylon) Misfire (when you miscast use miscast of the spell that miscasted) skitterleap= enemy gets to skitterleap your unit where he wants through pylon warp lightning=enemy can cast warp lightning through pylon vermin= enemy can cast vermintide through pylon pestilinve= enemy can cast pestilence breath through pylon plague= enemy can cast plague through pylon |

i think Sarko's idea is a little too complicated and BV is one the right lines just 1 or 2 special rules unlike around 11 maybe 4 or 5 would do. i think it seem that you would need a team to pop it up somewhere where it would effect enemies but the only thing i could think of would be a tunnel team but that just seems to risky. maybe you could have a less powerful but slow moving one maybe carried by a rat ogre or dragged by giant rats and it should ofcourse have the ability to blow up. |

It is way too complicated as it stands. You basically have two choices as I see it. Option one is you make it manouverable, and give it some ranged attack. Possibly similar to the Doomwheels weapons, so it'll fire D3 shots range 15", auto-hitting the closest unit, with the strength of the Art. Dice for the lightning bolt, causing D6 wounds. You can choose not to fire it, and you have it carried by a team of two rat ogres or something so it's pretty sturdy, but also quite sluggish. Misfire will obviously have a chart for it to explode. Your other option is something similar to the Dark Elf COB. Make it stationary, but give a constant effect for everything within its range, like hatred for everything witin 24", or maybe like the storm banner it'll create some kind of negative to hit modifier for as ong as it's running. Say bound spell, level 7, same effects as the storm banner every turn it's working. Mabus |
